After Charles assigned the paper, he slid them back to MR. Williams. The latter took a look at each paper probably to make sure that everything was alright before he nodded and collected all of them. He tapped them against the desk surface and then placed them all into a file before standing up.
"Thank you. The process is going to be Swift, so congratulations." He nodded one last time before he moved out of the way, and James opened the door for him. Gavin was already standing there, and had probably led him out of the house too.
Now that the presence of the civilian was gone, Joyce felt a little more nervous.
"Congratulations, boss." James bowed his head in respect. "Mrs Murphy." James bowed at her too.
Wow, she awed in her mind. This was perhaps the first time James had ever talked to her without raising his nose in the air. Sure, he treated her with respect, but it felt like she had elevated to an entirely different level.
