Gustav was happy that David asked him his opinion about his future. Therefore, he could not answer hastily. He had to think for a while. He looked toward the sea, and maybe that's why he didn't pay attention to the movement by the rocks.

The beach where they were taking their walk was sandy and clear, but in places a group of rocks cut into it adding variety to the landscape.
