章節 1: Little Li's Fever
Xue Luli opened her eyes slowly as she scanned her surroundings. She was laying her head on a very expensive bed while lying on the floor. She gently stood up as she tried to recall what happened to her.
"Auntie.... please help Little Li.. she's having a fever" a little boy pleaded
"If you don't get out of my sight I will beat you so hard that you'll be more worried about yourself... Scram" Xue Luli said as she made her way upstairs.
After recalling what had happen in the last two hours
"Shit...shit" Xue Luli cursed as she grabbed her car keys ran out of the room.
...
"Big brother what are we going to do?" Lu Xi asked his twin brother with a frown on his face as he looked at his sister who was lying on the bed.
His elder brother Lu Jin who had a serious and worried expression on his face was racking his brain for what to do.
He looked outside. It was already dark plus it was raining heavily.
With this kind of weather, it was impossible to take his little sister to the hospital. They had called their nanny and asked her for help but the only thing she could tell them was to bring her temperature down by using a piece of wet cloth to clean her body.
They had even begged their own mother to help her daughter but she told them to scram. Lu Jin and Lu Xi were just six year old while Little Li was just five.
They had also also tried calling their father to see if he can get someone to help them but he wasn't answering.
Lu Jin sighed as he looked at his sister who was shivering.
"We have to take her to the hospital right now...we don't have a choice."
"It's raining" Lu Xi reminded.
Lu Jin didn't say anything. He just looked at his sister who was on the bed with a pale face.
"Ok" Lu Xi said with a sigh.
They helped Little Li stand on her feet. As they were about to leave, the door pushed open.
"Little Li" Xue Luli said as she ran towards them. Lu Jin and Lu Xi were stunned. Before they could react, Xue Luli had already carried Little Li on her arms and ran outside. Lu Jin and Lu Xi were still in shock but they followed their mother.
Xue Luli used a jacket to cover Luli's head and quickly put her in the backseat of the car.
"Little Jin, Little Xi get in the back seat....take care of your sister for me." Xue Luli said to the two boys quickly entered the car. Xue Luli sat in front, started the car and sped off.
...
40 minutes later, they got to the hospital.
"It's just a small fever... Don't worry she'll be fine" The doctor said after he finished examining her.
After the doctor finished giving her some instructions, he left.
