Leon had drawn the Vileshade's aggro onto himself when he severed its tongue. Its attention was now focused solely on him, and he ran into the forest to draw it away from the guards.
He knew the more lives he saved now, the greater heights his reputation would reach once they returned to the city-state of Dawnspire and his deeds were made known. Since he couldn't avoid the fight, he decided to make the most out of it.
He only managed to draw it 50 feet away from the guards when he felt a violent throbbing sensation in the back of his head.
It was another warning by his sixth sense, the Sense of the Seer.
His life was in immense danger—his head was about to burst!
Without hesitation, Leon immediately dropped into what could only be described as a clumsy, exaggerated prostration—the kind people do when they're trying to impress Buddha with an overly dramatic display of humility, as if Buddha might grant extra blessings for how low you can grovel.
I really had fun writing this scene, hope you enjoyed it too, fight ends in the next chapter,
