After we finished eating, Lise and I headed back to my room, the evening calm settling around us. Once inside, I turned to her, feeling the warmth in the room amplify with her close presence.

"I think I need a shower after today," I said, glancing at the mirror and catching sight of a bit of dust still on my shirt from the day's activities. 

Lise raised a brow, that familiar smirk spreading across her lips. "Mind if I join? After all, who doesn't like a little company in their cleansing rituals?"

The casual way she said it, as if it was the most natural suggestion in the world, sent a warmth up my cheeks.

"Well… I suppose we can conserve water that way," I replied with an equally playful tone, though my heartbeat picked up. 

She grinned and walked over to turn the shower on, adjusting the water temperature while I hesitated before pulling my shirt off and stepping in with her.
