Killian was feeling restless. He could sense that something was wrong with his mate through his mate bond. The only thing holding him from rushing out to find his mate was because of Victor, Demir, and Lucas. The three of them looked calm as they continued to play with the Lion cubs.

Becoming one's soulmate equaled feeling all of their partner's feelings, be it happiness or sadness. And most of the time, he mistakenly ran to her when he felt a fluctuation in her mood. This cost him a lot because, instead of being happy, she got mad at him for coming to her, and the reason for that was her heat which she went through every month. She got emotional during that time and kept on getting sad or mad making all of them confused and in the end, they could do nothing but get used to it. So keeping that incident as a reminder in his mind, he restrained himself from going to her whenever she felt sad or moody.
