章節 19: Sea Salts

"I..." Before Sara could continue Mu Tiang stopped her. "Why don't you take rest and we will talk about it tomorrow??" Within a instant he became cold and said it with a stern voice.

Sara was tossing on the bed of the guest room. She could hardly close her eyes, so she decided to have something from the kitchen. It wasn't her first time in his house cos sometimes when they had important meetings, they used to sit all night preparing for their key points. There were some days where he used to ask her to stay back and rest for some time before they could go back to their office.

Sara walked towards the corridor to reach the steps leading to first floor where she had to pass the study. There was a faint dim light penetrating from the bottom of the study room door. She went closer to the door and thought of knocking when she heard Mu Tiang's voice "Get them here". She felt that he might be busy with something so restrained herself from disturbing him and walked past the study.

Sara looked at the cup noodles that were on the shelf. Suddenly she had the craving to make some spicy cup noodles. By the time she finished cooking and having her noodles she heard someone's foot steps all around the place. It was already 2 AM. 'Who could be awake in the house? Tiang is in study so who is here?' with that thought she took a pan from the kitchen and she gripped the pan's handle tightly. She hid herself behind the pillar which was separating dining room and living room.

When the foot steps got closer she braced herself "Ahhhh..." with a loud grunt she turned to hit the person who was intruding. Her eyes wide opened when she saw three men who were holding a gun pointing at her. 'Fuck' I should have thought this through' Sara's face paled, but she was a warrior. She would never back down. 'There is no turning back once you step into war.' Her motto was never enter a battle field if you plan to give up.

"Hahahah.. hahahha... uhaa.." sudden laughter from the steps broke the silence. Sara looked up to see Mu Tiang was holding his stomach and laughing with his finger pointing at this scene.

He some how controlled his laughter and walked down "Well, my Alpha team finally met someone who is not scared of them. Ehh??" By the time he reached the floor all three men withdrew their guns and bowed to Mu Tiang.

"Sara.. This is my Alpha team... They are here with something of your interest..." his eyes turned back to Alpha team and nodded. By the command which only they understood they went out and dragged three men who were already beaten up a little. Sara looked at those bruised faces and instinctively took step behind Mu Tiang. Clutching one hand on his sleeve. The pan which she was holding till then was dropped with an annoying 'clink' sound which drew everybody's attention to her. The brave soul which was ready to face the gun was now timid. They understood her fear cos they were the one who saw the traffic camera footage about what happened.

Tiang looked at her and placed his palm on her hand which was clinging his sleeve. The warm hand made her feel a little ease. He held her face with both of his hand on her cheeks like he was coaxing a baby. "You should always, always get over your FEAR to get hold of the TRUTH." He paused and smiled at her with a gentle gaze on her "Nothing around you is coincidence... You wanna know why?" he stopped at that note and rolled his eyes towards the three guys who were captured by Alpha team. He walked to one of the alpha team member and stretched out his hand asking for something.

Very next second, a pack of sea salts which were in the size of broken glass pieces was given to Tiang.

He opened the pack and threw all the salts on the floor. He sighed and took a step back and reached Sara's side. Sara was still in daze not understanding what was happening around her. He held Sara's shoulders with one arm around her to support her. His eyes did not leave Sara who was looking at Mu Tiang with question in her eyes. It was right then she heard agonizing screams of the three men who were now kneeling on the floor.

The Alpha team members had made several cuts on the culprit's knees and made them kneel on the salts which were on the floor. The gushing blood from their knees melted salts a little making the salts rub on the wound which intensified the pain 100 times.
