章節 13: Chapter 13

They feel a blast of heat as debris showers around them. The Purix ship’s laser cannon hits the top and sides of the rock and granite, causing the tunnel to collapse behind them. Brax feels the heat of the laser blasts on his back while rocks hit the back of his armor and helmet.

Brax races even more quickly within the tunnel and continue running down it as it shakes around them. The laser blasts send pieces of rock raining around them as they make their way farther down the passage.

Brax is in a complete battle haze, his instincts to protect driving him to get Parker to safety. He senses a cave off to the right and smells water's fresh, clean scent. He veers to the right and finds a small alcove with a trickling waterfall feeding into a tiny pool of water at the base.

Brax sets Parker on her feet and starts running his hands over her, checking for injuries.
