While Rose fetched some water, Christopher saddled Apollo. It gave him enough time to relax and regain control of his innate desire to take and devour her on the spot.
He was still unsure if he had the strength to resist touching her.
After mounting the stallion, he trotted out of the stable. Chris found Rose returning with a tin cup of water. There was a precious smile spread across her face as she handed him the drink. Gulping it down, he threw the cup to the ground.
Christopher was eager to embark on their journey. Without warning, he reached out and grabbed Rose by her waist and easily hoisted her onto Apollo.
"I thought we were going to take a walk in the woods?" she said
"What I have to show you is several miles down the trail. It would be better if we rode there," he said.
"We could always fly," said Rose, raising her brows at him and giving a coy smile.
