"Please release me!" Giselle bellowed with fury at Kane.
He dropped his arms away from her body as if she had set him on fire. While watching his wife run back to the castle at Northbrook, Lord Alexander stared in dismay at how angry Giselle was. He watched her retreating figure fade in the distance. Knowing that she wanted to escape his sanctuary and church, he would give her as much distance as possible.
In frustration, he scrubbed his face with his hand. Kane placed his fingers under his tongue and gave a shrill whistle. Lord Alexander called out to a young knight, speaking to the acolytes still gathered in the oak grove, discussing what they had witnessed.
"Ezra, come here."
The Paladin approached the commander and presented himself.
"Yes, Sir!" Ezra replied to the commander.
"It is imperative for you to follow the lady," he instructed.
