As Lord Alexsander walked through the garden path, he couldn't help but feel a sense of pride with his pregnant wife on his arm beside him. They were immersed in the delicate scent of the spring blooms as they slowly ambled through the march flowers, examining the beauty of each one.
It had been weeks since Giselle had left her room.
Some of the kitchen servants were gathered in the garden preparing tea for her and their Lord. She could hear the staff's excited and hushed exchanges at seeing them both together outside of the castle.
"It's this way, Giselle," said Kane, leading her through an opening in the hedgerow and to her seat at the tea table.
It was filled with her favorite meal—waffles with strawberry compote and whipped cream, along with a pot of honey ginger tea.
Good catch, Kane; you are a far better parent than I even expected.
