"That was a piss poor apology if I ever saw one." Rose heard Christopher's indignant voice coming from behind her. A look of uncertainty swept across her face as she turned around to see him clenching his fists and watching his entire body vibrate angrily.

"Lord Alexsander, I thought better of you and your men. Are you really willing to settle for that as acceptable repentance?" 

Kane sighed. His young Paladin was testing everyone's patience today.

"I will deal with it immediately." Lord Alexsander said in an exasperated voice, rubbing the back of his neck. 

"Please don't take this any further. You will only make him resent and despise me even more than he already does."

Rose's face was adorned with a pleading expression as she turned to face Christopher. "Please don't do this."
