After being stunned by his words, Rose threw herself into Christopher's arms, crashing into him, and lavishing him with kisses. The Lord had pledged his obligation to her. It was something a knight typically does once in their life.

Although Rose wasn't ready for marriage, she knew he loved and cherished her at that moment. She was debating how to acknowledge Christopher's proposal.

"I… I–don't know what to say. I'm not ready yet," Rose lamented.

"Shhh…" He placed his pointer finger over Rose's lips to stop her from speaking. Remember, you don't have to answer me right away. I will wait for you to tell me when it's right. I only ask that you at least promise yourself to me and wear the ring.

A nod of agreement was exchanged before Rose added, "I will, but on one condition. You must take me to see Sir Nash."

As he considered her intentions, he shook his head and replied in a guarded tone.
