Anna had been looking for Lucian since morning, he knew her son had sneaked out of the house again. Even though she knew nothing could happen to him, she still couldn't help but worry, this was because Lucian was different from normal people, he was born blind.
Well, Anna couldn't say he was exactly blind because Lucian could move like any normal person, except he couldn't tell the form of a being.
When Anna asked his son, he claimed to see people in the form of very small white orbs surrounded by a very faint golden mist.
That was how he could tell if people were present. The same thing applied to all living and nonliving things, they all came with different shades of colors, which was how Lucian could detect them.
As for how Lucian knew the names of the colors, he never spoke about them. Anna knew her son wasn't normal from the very day he was born, he had an eye color that was so different from ordinary people, but no matter what he was, he was still her beloved son.
She had tried so hard to recall exactly what happened that night she got pregnant, but she still had no clue at all. It felt as if that night never happened. If it hadn't been for her getting pregnant, she would have thought a night like that never happened.
But little Lucian was the evidence of that night.
Anna popped her head out of the cottage's back door, only to see Lucian having an innocent smile on his face with his hands behind his back and standing straight looking in the direction of her voice. At first glance, you will think he was so obedient and innocent, but Anna knew it was just a camouflage.
Lucian was far from obedient, he was good and much more understanding at his age alright... but his being obedient was something to argue about. Anna decided not to get affected by that smile that could calm a storm. Lucian was not winning today.
" Where have you been? " Anna spoke trying to sound as strict as possible because her son could not see the look she had on, even if she made a stern-looking face.
Lucian's smile dropped, he knew his act wasn't working today.
' See. I told you we shouldn't go. Now you've been caught..'
'Shut up!! ' Lucian spoke internally shutting the voice in his head. He was the reason he had sneaked out, and now he was shifting the blame.
