Everyone is welcome to bookmark this book and vote for it. This series was begun only after thorough preparation. Trust me, it will satisfy you all.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Cosmic Energy, a cultivation method that human beings invented after hundreds of years of exploring their own bodies. In today's society, the deciphering of genetics and human gene mutation has lifted the limitations set by life. With the assistance of cutting-edge technology, scientists invented the Metamorphosis Technique, which allows individuals, after a certain period, to undergo a transformation, improving the genetics of their bodies and optimizing them for survival. However, as of now, only those who are rich and prestigious in various planets can afford such a luxury. For regular civilians, the cost of the Metamorphosis Technique is astronomical. The advent of the Metamorphosis Technique has rendered scientists immensely intrigued by various potentialities of the human body. After countless experimentation using various scientific means, some of them have finally figured out a method to activate the latent capabilities of the human body. With this method, humans can directly absorb molecules from the universe, attaining strength far superior to normal individuals. This is the essence of Cosmic Energy. Relying on the refinement of Cosmic Energy, an average human can also undergo a transformation without using the Metamorphosis Technique. When Cosmic Energy is refined to a certain degree, it also lifts the constraints of life. Of course, this is purely theoretical as no one has reached that level yet. However, it's indisputable that different levels of the refinement of Cosmic Energy contribute to slowing down the aging process. From the perspective of the "elite", utilizing the Metamorphosis Technique is the optimal approach as it is not only efficient but also safe. Only those who have practiced Cosmic Energy would know the hardship that lies within. Who has truly achieved the indefinite prolonging of life? It is not easy to break through the bottleneck.
Born in a slum, Sky Scar originally had no qualification to learn Cosmic Energy, nor the aptitude to train in flying skills. Perhaps he was blessed with exceptional luck. When he was seven years old, he chanced upon a mysterious middle-aged man. This encounter entirely altered his fate. The man asked if Sky Scar wished to become somebody powerful. Upon receiving an affirmative response, he gave Sky Scar two books—actual books made of paper—in a world where almost everything had been replaced by technology.
The two books contained the method to cultivate Cosmic Energy and how to apply it in executing flying skills. The man instructed Sky Scar not to apply his Cosmic Energy to other fields until he was twenty, and only to cultivate his flying skills. Before turning fifteen, Sky Scar was also prohibited from revealing that the man had ever existed to anyone.
The seven-year-old Sky Scar barely knew how to read, yet he still made the promise to the middle-aged man. He kept this promise for thirteen years without any change. The mysterious middle-aged man guided him faintly every day and taught him knowledge about the outside world. This continued for two years. Due to his commitment to the man, Sky Scar never revealed this secret to anyone before he turned fifteen, not even his beloved parents. Sky Scar always regretted that he never got to see the man's face, as he was the one who had taught him for two years.
To this day, Sky Scar, who has recently turned twenty, still applies his Cosmic Energy solely to improving his flying skills, leaving him unaware of how far his Cosmic Energy has advanced. However, he has already grown deeply infatuated with the unique sensation that flying brings.
Within a minute, Sky Scar managed to enhance the speed of his flying skills to the limit, flying horizontally in the air 200 meters above the ground. This way, he would not be influenced by the flying cars in the air. From the ground, he merely seemed like a fleeting shadow. The Cosmic Energy inside his body naturally adjusted, gradually easing the discomfort brought by his hangover.
Two minutes later, Sky Scar saw the Academy of Zhongting enveloped in a light yellow protective shield. The intensity of the protective shield, made from energy, reached 1,000 watts due to the significance of the Academy of Zhongting. This intensity was equivalent to the defense strength of an average warship, and almost impossible to penetrate using any instruments on the planet.
The Academy of Zhongting is located in the heart of the capital city of the Planet Zhongting, Ting City. It has trained countless professionals for the Galaxy Union and holds a superior status on the Planet Zhongting. The dean of the Academy of Zhongting even has the power equivalent to the executive head of a planet.
When Sky Scar arrived at that familiar entrance, it was one minute and forty-three seconds before the start of the graduation ceremony.
Entering the metallic corridor, Sky Scar ceased using his flying skill, sighing in relief; he knew he was no longer at risk of being late. At a large alloy door, he inserted his ID card into a slot. A soft voice rang out, "Sky Scar, Grade Five student from Cosmic Calendar, Year 335, welcome back. Due to your failure to return to the Academy overnight, the Academy Disciplinary Committee reserves the right to penalize you. Please perform iris scan." Two metallic probes extended from the split metallic wall. Sky Scar leaned his eyes close and, with a flash of red light, the soft voice rang out again, "Iris scan confirmed. Sky Scar, please proceed immediately to the Academy auditorium for the graduation ceremony."
The card ejected from the slot, Sky Scar quickly grabbed it and shot through the opened alloy door, racing towards the Academy auditorium at his top speed.
Under the strain of his anxious mind, his senses dulled considerably. An instant before he was due to enter the auditorium in five seconds, he accidentally collided with another figure.
"Ah!" A feminine yelp echoed, leaving a soft impression on Sky Scar. He merely staggered a few steps, while the person he collided with fell to the side. Before he could react, an angry voice rang out, "Are you blind?"
Sky Scar was not focused on the person he had knocked down. Seeing the metallic door not far away about to close, he hastily glanced at the female student, dropped an apology, and activated his flying ability towards the door. However, due to the previous delay, he was still a step behind. Using his estimation, he knew he wouldn't make it. In this critical moment, an obsession rose in his heart, the belief that the alloy door would not close. He knew all too well what being late meant; the Academy of Zhongting had strict rules where tardiness would result in forfeiting the right to graduate. Delaying graduation by a year was absolutely painful for him. Over his five years of study, he had already learned everything he could. Staying longer would only cut into his time to make money.
Then, something extraordinary happened. It was as if space was undergoing intense fluctuations. Sky Scar clearly saw the air ripple like a water waveform, and the solid alloy door astonishingly paused the moment his obsession flared. That brief pause was all Sky Scar needed. With a body shimmer, he slid into the auditorium just as the alloy door was about to seal shut.
Tension made him breath heavily, and he suddenly felt very tired — a sensation transmitted from his spirit. His last-minute arrival drew many sidelong glances. He didn't dare linger at the door any longer and hurriedly found an empty seat at the back. Suddenly, a wave of guilt washed over him for the female student he had bumped into outside the door. This collision was certain to cost her qualification to graduate. His hurried glimpse made him vaguely remember that she was a stunningly beautiful student, even more beautiful than his girlfriend. Thinking of his girlfriend, Sky Scar's heart tightened as he subconsciously looked around the auditorium expectantly.
Outstandingly beautiful women were always noticeable. Easily, his gaze caught the sight of her, and someone else beside her. His heart suddenly ached to the point of suffocation. Lowering his head, Sky Scar gasped heavily a few times to regain his composure. However, he no longer dared to look in her direction.
Four years, a full four years of memories gone yesterday. He had given almost everything for this relationship, but what had he gained? What did he get, on the day before graduation? Usually calm and gentle Sky Scar couldn't help but curse again though only within his heart.
