摘要
Qiao Mei transmigrated into a novel as a supporting character with the same name as her who lacked presence. This supporting character was a country bumpkin who couldn’t get married due to her obesity. According to the original script, this country girl Qiao Mei was a fatty spoiled by her grandfather. However, their relatives were all vicious and cruel people. Her grandfather had poor health, so once he died, the relatives would divide and swallow up his assets. Hence, her grandfather’s greatest wish was to marry Qiao Mei off. For this, even sacrificed and betrayed his good friend’s grandson, Xia Zhe. Grandpa got Xia Zhe drunk and had Qiao Mei forcibly take the strong and handsome Xia Zhe with her body which weighed more than two hundred pounds. Then, grandpa would catch them the next day and force Xia Zhe to marry Qiao Mei. However, that eventually caused the start of Qiao Mei’s unfortunate life.
Also, in the original story, Qiao Mei took possession of Xia Zhe’s mysterious jade. But due to Qiao Mei’s stupidity, her cousin's sister had tricked Qiao Mei into giving her the jade, which resulted in the cousin’s family becoming rich. When Qiao Mei transmigrated here, it was during the awkward moment when she was making love to the man after making him drunk. She woke up groggily the next day and grandpa’s team had already appeared at the door. Qiao Mei was frightened. She didn’t want to proceed on the original path and marry a man who didn’t love her. And so, she lied and chased grandpa away. She also pushed the man out before forcing herself to look at her tanned and chubby reflection in the mirror! Alas, she cried at her ugly appearance…
Like a sumo wrestler in large cloth underwear, even the plus-sized apparel shops didn’t have clothes in her size. And her face was the size of a pizza, a scorched pizza! Qiao Mei decided to reform her life! The first step, lose weight! The second step, clean up her room! She used to be particular about cleanliness, and although her current house had a huge courtyard, she could only describe it as messy! The third step was to hold onto the jade tightly so her greedy cousin wouldn’t stand a chance! Only, wasn’t the tall and handsome Xia Zhe supposed to hate her according to the original story? Why was he being nicer and nicer to her?

I have not read the story yet but I wanna say something when a girl is fat why does everyone called her ugly..... being fat is not ugly at all... So author you shouldn't be calling her ugly. She should love herself... Why is she repeatedly calling herself ugly. That's not necessary..... So it would be good to not call her ugly.

I haven't given such a high rating in a long time. The book is actually really good. It differs from the regular transmigration to ancient China to farm. I for one would actually like to see how the protagonists get along. Also, anybody know the raw title?
Why are the reviews so high? I tried it out, but honestly can't understand the positive reviews. All I see is constant, like literally constant, fat shaming and racist thoughts about dark skin colours. The FL seems callous and shallow, and I really don't like her. Most important reason for my bad review is that the novel contains gRape. This time the author was 'creative', FL gRapes the ML. Yay for feminism? FL decided after figuring out she gRaped him that she does not want to follow the plot and wants to reject him. However, when he sees he is handsome, she says nothing. Standard Chinese novel gRape-setting, only difference is this time FL is not the victim... Translation quality is top notch. If you like a transmigrated, farming FL, I suppose you can try it out, but I personally cannot recommend it.
I find the FL disgusting. She‘s shallow and she constantly fat-shames. She treats the pendant the ML dropped as her own, literally saying ”It‘s only right for me to take it“. I don’t understand how there can be so many positive reviews for this book. The story is your typical transmigration plot, it’s rather poorly written, and the FL is not likeable either.

This trend of fatphobia in novels should like yesterday. Besides that, I like that the FL is not a doctor, but a lawyer. And that is was the ML who had the cheat code. It would be funny if he know but alas The grampa is cute

i love this kind of transmigration story . it focused on the FL growth and full of optimism to be better. Still waiting for interaction between FL and ML. I hope it won't be too long to wait.

Liked this story. I can empathize with her. I too would like to have something like that jade. I need to lose weight caused by my meds as its side effect. It is sooo hard. This book is not prejudiced to chubby ones or dark skinned. This preference in skinny and fair skinned women and men are quite common in Asian Countries. I like that the FL was a lawyer in her past life. She was no push over. Heh, she has great strength in her new body which is great. I didn’t like the ML based on the “novel’s plot”. He never came to see the Original Qiao Mei nor his twins in that story. Though admittedly, what happened to him was enough for him to be angry. But what about the twins? They need him too. But something happened to him during his mission at that time hence his no-show. Anyways, I asked a friend of mine to purchase this book so we can swap. I am purchasing too many books. This is a good read though the raws halted its update back in November 2023. It is still ongoing-hiatus status. It has more than 3K Chapters though😵😭 Add this to your library. The translation on those 40 free chapters are quite well done.
