Although it was true that Spencer thought that Raymond was stronger than him, he had never actually seen him fight, so he couldn't be too sure about his strength. After observing how calm he was, Spencer figured that he was probably strong enough to contend with some of their strongest competitors, or at least strong enough to retreat safely. Although it wasn't the greatest assurance, Spencer felt like it was good enough. He was going to enter the tomb either way, with or without Raymond, so he didn't think too much about it.
As they waited for the tomb to open, more and more rogue cultivators showed up, but since none of them caught their eyes, Raymond didn't show much interest. Eventually, after waiting for a few hours, Raymond could feel the ground starting to tremble. The trembling was quite rhythmic, and it was a sign that the tomb was about to emerge. The restrictions had loosened, and in less than half an hour, a tremendous sound shook Raymond to his very core.
BANG!!!
Sorry for the slow updates and bad schedule. Was planning on going to uni this fall, but things went to shit and I had to move to a different country for a while. But now that I'm settled down, I should be able to write fairly regularly again.
