Jidenna's grip on Song Jia's arm did not loosen even after they had left the building behind.
He turned some corners, coming to a secluded spot and carefully surveyed the area for any potential peeping lurkers.
It was only after Jidenna confirmed that they were truly alone that he let loose.
"Song Jia," he called her full name, his voice grave.
He stared straight at her, determined not to give her any chance to dodge away.
"What was that just now?" he asked, pointing his arm towards the direction of the building they came from.
He stared at her, waiting for some kind of explanation at least.
To be honest, back there, when he saw Song Jia surrounded by the crowd, logically, he should have waited to understand what was happening before moving, but for some reason, his proud "logic" failed him.
Before he knew it, he had already rushed to her side, shielding her with his body.
