"I see no reason why you should apologize though," Irene said, her head turning back only to see that Rose had disappeared from her sight.
Ilyan's lips parted but his unsaid words were interrupted by Christina's squeal.
Irene looked in the direction of the voice and caught Christina's pleasantly surprised self nearing her.
"Is this the surprise that you were talking about on the call?" Christina pulled Ilyan's ear.
"Ouch! What is this for?" Ilyan winced, pursing his lips together.
"Why didn't you tell me before? I would have planned for a better welcome, no?" Christina let go of his ear, smacking on his arm.
"You don't have to do anything, Ma'am! I am just here to see you. How are you feeling? Are you better now?"
Panic rose in Christina, afraid that Irene might end up blurting about the hospital incident in front of Ilyan. Little did she know, nothing was hidden from her son.
