Deathblade translations are no joke. You can always expect a quality translation from his hand. I love this series since the MC is hilarious. I mean VERY hilarious
Totally worth the read, but it's stolen from another site. This is just not right. Translator even called them out, and it's still here. They better not make any money from this.

The only part I've disliked about Er Gen novels is the super perverted beast companion. Sure, it's funny at first but later it gets kinda gross. Other than that, great novel. I feel it has more potential than ISSTH

This novel is great in manny aspects, but if youcan't handle a immature/idiotic/retarded MC, I would steer away. I have read up to chapter 385, and the MC goes from actual development, and then suddenly all of it is lost, and you read about a retarded toddler, or a kindergardner who is close to being mentaly challanged. The main problem of this, is that we arereading about somone who is an *****, with experiance of war and blood and the harshness of the world, and at manny times throu the novel acknowlages this, ad actualy gives the illusion of maturing in increments. He goes from a mature responseble paragon for hes sect in the heat of the moment/some important times. To a dribbling gradeschooler with downs in about 0-100 in 0.001 sec flat. It is as if we are reading about two completly different people, and it only keeps on getting worse, he actualy becomes dumber in he's "moments" as the novel goes on. If you have problems reding about idiotic MC's who you doubt can even muster the intelligence to open a door, then this MC wil probably give you truble reading the novel. When it comes to world building, the world unfolds in a natural and even pace as cultivation levels or political things in the sect unfolds.
The MC can be described with 2 words: Cowardly, and Shameless. While neither of these are inherently bad, there needs to be some deviation from this, and I have yet to see him overcome these in any manner. On top of that, the update stability is greatly lacking. I will continue to read this, but it is on the bottom of my reading list at the moment.

over 300 chapters in ww , for those who are still waiting for the update here i affirm you it will never be updated. this is a great novel. i love the MC of this novel I read this and Library of heavens path both are best for relieving stress .any one recommend some comedy novel like this two.
I'm still waiting for "Devil chicken stealer", *sigh* it is still a long way to go ,because the last update on a novel sites that i was reading it before was already 180+, and then, didn't continue anymore and another sites has taken it, but rather slow. But still patiently waiting. I wish that they continue this work.... i'll give 5 star if QN will not drop it and continue translating it,, Goodluck.
Super funny, great world building, tons of detail and really distinctive and unique characters. Our MC is hilarious but his actions are very relatable and is a breath of fresh air compared to typical arrogant young master MCs or hiding his true power type or ruthless killer types. MC as the novel title says, is obsessed with trying to preserve his life in the dangerous cultivation world, and realistically his concerns are very relatable. However fate would force him to various dangerous life threatening situations that sets him off on his path of cultivation and power. Highly recommended. Its completely unlike the other cultivation novels out there. Great world building, hilarious and gripping story.
from this novel I learned how to be pirate so when there is premium novel with the paywall, I can use another pirate sites if I want to read it :D

there's a lot of loopholes and unused abilities and a lot of stupidity: 1-enhance the pills at the beginning then stop for no reason!! 2-enhance the treasure on random basis (only ****ty treasure gets an enhancement but good and world treasures don’t!! WHY?) 3-can't he concoct pills in secluded area!!? 4-start concocting pills in very smart, theoretical and comprehensive way , suddenly became stupid in "disheveled hair and bloodshot eye" way, repeatedly 5-no character development at all (enforced stupidity for some repeated cliché) 6-no need to talk about the enforced stupid ****ty romance
