According to the Goddess of Taming, the cows will stay in the area for around 2 weeks before they move to another place. 2 weeks is plenty of time for Elaina to prepare for reigning the cows to her farm.

I can assure you that even Elaina will find no trouble in taming and bringing them back here on the farm. Besides, I will be supervising this one as I wanted to have a good look at these wild cows and how they behave.
