"Umm, how should I be reacting to this?"
"Ignore it"
"I'm almost finished with your registration to the kindergarten, do you wish to know when you'll be going to it?"
"Mom, promise me that you will not punish anyone, or react in any way to what I'm about to say"
"Ok"
"Give me a moment, I will pull out a piece of paper for you to write it"
I pull out a piece of paper and she writes down what she promised.
And then I say… "Fuck"
"WHERE DID YOU LEARN THIS?"
"You swore that you would not react to this or punish anyone in anyway"
"SCREW THE PROMISE, WHERE DID YOU LEARN THIS?"
"KEEP THE PROMISE"
"ANSWER ME FIRST"
"BUT YOU PROMIS-
Then she took that slip of paper and tore it to pieces.
"Where is the proof of that?"
"I already took a photo of this"
And I show her the photo
But obviously she tries to take it from me, but I pretend that I hide it under my stomach as I quickly place it in my inventory.
"Be a good boy and show mommy what you are hiding, if you show me, I will give you candy"
"Do you promise?"
"Yes"
"Write it down and give the paper to me"
"No"
"Yes"
"No"
"Yes"
"No"
"No"
"You said 'No' yourself, now turn around and show me what you're hiding"
And I turn around
"Where is that camera, lift up your shirt?"
And I lift it up, though I must mention that her incredulous look almost made me laugh
"Where is the camera, where did you hide it?"
"I won't tell you, you will take it for yourself"
"Ok, you're going to the kindergarten tomorrow, it was supposed to be one week from now, since I used the excuse that you must still take it easy, but you'll be going to it at the same time as everybody"
…
.
"I'm still not giving you the camera and you just broke the promise, I'm showing this to dad"
"Tch, I thought that with your anti-social personality it might work, but it didn't I guess, now what"
"What time is it?"
"Roughly 15.00"
"Then let's go make lunch"
"You'll be helping me"
"Yes"
"You'll make mommy proud of you, doing such a girly thing"
"Cooking at home is more cost-efficient than eating out"
"Well, if you put it that way, it is true"
"Now let's cook"
"Ok"
After a while
"How come you're so good at this already?"
"It is an essential skill in surviving."
"Don't be afraid to admit that you're talented in cooking"
"Mom, do you of any place that could teach me axe, spear, throwing axe, throwing knife, hand-to-hand combat wielding and tailoring?"
"Why so specific don't children wish to wield sword instead of spear and whatever things you wish to learn?"
"Swords are everywhere because they are cheaper to make than axes, spears and so on, plus cartoons are filled with swords and guns, so I have gotten bored of them very quickly"
"… Ok, I will try, but forging and kindergarten take priority"
"And I wish to learn how to play the guitar and the piano"
"That takes priority as well, in this world, violence is not the answer"
"It depends, if it's talking with someone with muscle for brain, then fighting is better, but if we are talking about intelligence, then fighting will do no good."
"Maturity and you get along quite well, don't you think?"
"No, I'm just bored, so I want to try things out and see if I like them?"
*Sigh* "Where did my baby boy go?"
"To your imagination"
"Fantasies are so nice in these cases."
"Agreed, so what about my requests"
"I can't do that right now; a jack of all trades is a master of none"
"But if the jack of all trades has a massive talent in everything he does, he is both a jack of all trades and a master of all"
"Your argument doesn't exactly seem valid"
"But it is an argument"
"Just focus on stirring the soup, I don't want the soup to be ruined just because you forgot to stir it."
"Okay"
We were talking as I was standing on a chair, stirring a pot, it was quite the funny scene in my imagination, adding a woman who was siting a distance away to the scene could make this better or worse, depends on your imagination.
'This is so relaxing, I might do it more, this is so therapeutic, this calm atmosphere, the calm sounds of cooking, the mess that I will not clean up. So relaxing'
My mom walked up to me and turned of the fire
"The soup looks about finished, all that is left is wait till it cooled off and wait for your dad to come home, he told me that he will be back for lunch, though he might be late, being a CEO doesn't give you free time in a company with a bad system running it"
…
"I got an idea, let's play card games"
"Do you have cards?"
"Of course, me and Peter used to play games for hours when we didn't have anything to do"
"Then do you know any games?"
"Of course, if I didn't, I would be ashamed to call myself Maria Lochem"
The she walks of to grab a deck of cards and the one she brings me amazes me in a way that is not good.
"Mom, why is the deck so sparkling, it's almost blinding me."
"Why not, it was custom made under my request."
"Then you pick the game and teach me the rules"
"Ok, but be ready as I will not be holding back."
After the first few games
"This should be enough of an introduction, now let's play for real"
The next game
"I must say, you have a knack for this, though there is still a lot to learn"
After two games
