"Hey, Arduous,"

"Did you miss me, baby?"

Elizabeth looked from the woman then to Arduous whose face was now devoid of any emotion. She couldn't decipher whether he was glad to see the woman who seemed happy and excited to talk to him. Then his eyes met hers but they were icy cold and she could feel chills from his stares despite the approaching summer.

When she looked at Ella, Arduous' brother was looking at him— no, she wasn't looking, rather she was glaring at him and Arduous doesn't even seem to notice. He was busy staring at her instead of the woman clinging to his neck as if her life depended on it. And when Ella noticed that things weren't going the way they should be, she moved and seized Elizabeth's arms who was pulled off from the trance that she was in as she stared back at Arduous.

"I think you two need some time to talk, so, shall we excuse ourselves?"

She glanced at Elizabeth who forced a smile, "Y-yea, I think it's better if we leave."
