One of the warriors reported back to the king. Dacre was not happy with the news, he almost threw the cup in his hand to his head, but instead, he crushed it.

The sharp shard stabbed his palms and blood dripped from the wound.

"You can leave," Rose said to the warrior, as she went to tend the king's wound. She could see the anger in Dacre's eyes and she was also scared to approach him, but she steeled her heart and did what she had to do. "Don't be too mad, my king. We will find a way out of it."

"How?!" Dacre snapped at Rose, which he immediately regretted it, but he didn't say anything.
