章節 252: Sneaking Off Again

As much as he was eager to take the next step, he had to approach it with care. He didn't just want Grace by his side; he wanted her to stand beside him with confidence, knowing she belonged there. And that was something he couldn't rush.

He wanted their relationship to be built on a foundation of trust and mutual respect.

He leaned back in his chair with a glint in his eyes as a plan formed in his head.

He swiped his phone screen and his thumb hovered over Grace's contact before he finally tapped it. 

As the phone rang, he adjusted the airpod in his ear, already imagining her voice on the other end. 

At the kindergarten, Grace was in the middle of a nature class with the children when she saw the screen of  her phone light up.

She handed over to Faye and moved out of earshot before answering the call.

"Hey, babe, what do you say about a little truancy?" Jace's tone had a mischievous tinge to it that instantly alerted Grace.
