They met at the entrance of the hospital and Jace hastened to take Charles from her but Charles's grip on Grace was so strong that he had to let him.
He felt sad seeing Grace struggling to climb the stairs to the main door with Charles's weight but he couldn't do anything about it.
Luckily the elevator arrived not long after and they took it to the floor where Dr Brooks, Charles's personal doctor, was.
"He'll be fine," Dr Brooks announced after he was done administering the antipyretic syrup to Charles.
"Charles rarely falls sick. What happened to him? Was he agitated?" he asked.
Grace's heart that had just relaxed, did a flip again when Dr Brooks' question sounded.
She stole a quick glance at Jace, whose sharp eyes didn't miss the sudden change in her expression. Before she could formulate a response, Jace stepped in smoothly.
