Mrs Bert sighed, a thoughtful look on her face. "It would be nice to see him happy again. Since his wife passed, he's been a different man. Maybe Grace is the breath of fresh air he needs."
The kitchen filled with a warm, conspiratorial atmosphere as they continued to prepare lunch.
Both Vera and Mary exchanged hopeful glances, each secretly rooting for a budding romance between their boss and Grace.
"But are you sure Grace feels the same way about boss?" Mary asked, her voice still laden with doubts.
Vera's animated face suddenly lost its vibrant look and was replaced by a glare. "Didn't you see how she blushed and zoned out when Mrs Bert mentioned something about the boss a few minutes ago?
"It might have just been a coincidence. Moreover, it's also possible the person she had fallen in love with is not the boss but someone else from her school," Mary countered, her brows furrowed in thought.
