Finding her way to the study, Grace couldn't come up with any explanation as to why her boss suddenly came back. She was sure it was related to the reason he ordered her to leave the hospital barely after she got there.

Standing outside the door, she took a deep breath before knocking on the door and only turned the handle after hearing a terse "come in" from inside.

"Good evening, sir," she greeted politely. After all, the person before her was her boss, so she still needed to be as courteous as possible.

She stood for some minutes wrapped in an unnerving silence that filled the entire study before a cold voice spoke.

"Are you just going to stand there all night?"

Grace raised her head to see the piercing cold gaze on her and a lump suddenly formed in her throat, causing her to lower her head again.
