Mila's crying hangover was even worse in the morning but she still had to do a recording session. After that, she planned on coming straight home to work on things for her other job. Anything else could wait until she was in a better headspace. 

"When will you be home?" Leo asked curiously. 

"Probably around one. I'm not in the mood to research or audition today so I don't need to be out very long," she replied as she put on mascara. 

"That early?!"

Mila raised an eyebrow. That was a rather strong reaction. "Yeah. What's so weird about that? I've come home that early plenty of times before. You'll be less bored this way. We might actually have time to play today depending on when I can get my Mysteva work done." 

"Oh. Well, playing would be good," Leo said as if he hadn't overreacted a minute earlier. 

She cracked a smile. Cats were so weird. She would have to think of something good to do with him. Something she couldn't do on her own.
