章節 8: CHAPTER 8: Want me to teach you? (1)
I was staring at my laptop and was thinking about how to proceed... I'm trying to machine translate this Chinese novel that I chance upon and since no one is translating it I tried to do it even though I do not know Chinese text or pinyin. "Aaarrrggghhh!" Out of frustration I just can't help but scream out loud! My roommate looked at me weirdly. "I'm sorry for the noise," I said in embarrassment. "Look here Seora, I know you're frustrated but can you keep it down a bit? We're trying to study here as well." My roommate scolded me. To not disturb them, I pack up my laptop and went out. "I'll just go to the library. Later guys!" I hurriedly went out of our room.
I walked around the campus first to relax before going to the library. In the library, a few students are studying so there is a lot of space that I can sit on. I looked for a place that is well hidden and somewhat isolated so that even if I make small noises of frustration no one will be disturbed by it. After finding a place I took out my laptop out of my bag and wait for my laptop to boot. After that, I opened my saved file of the translation that I made and continued from there. I was so absorbed that I didn't notice someone was standing behind me.
"That is supposed to be a name, not a tree." I was startled by the voice that I almost knocked the table lamp beside my hand. "Sorry, did I startle you?" He lightly chuckled. I looked behind me to see who it was. He was wearing a cap but I can see his hair is blonde, he's tall around 178 cm, he has bright eyes, button nose, squishy cheeks, and a beautiful smile, it's blinding! I was so shocked to know who it was! "Are you Xu Minghao?" I asked him to confirm if it was him. Last time I saw him was when I left for uni and that was a year ago! He smiled at me and just nodded his head. "Yup! It is me! How are you doing these days jiejie?" He asked me. What did he just call me? "Jiejie?" I asked him stupidly. "Oh, sorry! I thought you know what it means since I saw you looking at Chinese text. Jiejie is like noona here in Korea." He explained to me. I just said 'oohhh' somewhat enlightened.
"How have you been jiejie? I hardly see you ever since you went to uni. Don't you ever go back home? Every time I tried to visit your house to hang out I don't see you." He looked at me while tilting his head looking cute. I just smiled at him and said: "Well, I did go back home but you guys are just nowhere to be found so I just hang out with my high school friends." I just made a lame excuse so that he won't notice that I was avoiding him. He looked at me with eyes saying that he doesn't believe me. "Hmm…" He just said that while sitting at the chair across me. I hope I was not that obvious?
"So, what are you doing here? Are you visiting a friend?" I asked him. This is the first time I saw him on campus so I just assumed that he was visiting someone. He looked at me intently: "Nope, I'm studying here as well. Didn't you know? I just started this semester!" He said while smiling at me. Looking at his smiling face, I can feel cold sweat on my back. I don't know why, but even though he's smiling I could feel that he's angry?
"Is that so? I didn't know that you will also attend this school! If I had known I would have thrown you a welcome party!" I said trying to appease him. "Is that so? Then I will wait for it. It's not too late to throw a party. Just hope that I'll be able to see you preparing it. You are hard to meet you know? I just hope you won't keep hiding again like you did when you went back home?" He said. It's like he is warning me not to hide from him or there will be consequences! I shivered while imagining the punishment that he will execute once I piss him off!
"Wh-what are you saying Minghao? When d-did I ever hide from you?" I accidentally stuttered! Damn it! He will notice that I'm lying! I just can't say that I was avoiding him, can I? I'm not asking for a death wish! "Hmm… As long as you understand that's fine. So what are you doing? Is Chinese Literature your major? I just accidentally saw the manuscript on your laptop, so you're studying Chinese Literature or is it Chinese History?" He asked. Accident my foot! I know he intentionally looked at my work! "Nope, I was doing a project that's why I'm trying to translate Chinese text to English. I was just using go**le translate since I don't know how to read and understand Pinyin or Chinese character." I just gave an excuse since I can't tell him that I was doing it for a web novel! I bet he will scold me again if he found out.
"Is that so? If you're going to Machine translate the manuscript then it will be hard for you since for some characters there will be multiple meanings and sometimes it's hard to distinguish which are being used as names or if the meaning is different. Like the mistake you made earlier, it mentioned 'Liu' instead of writing it as a name you wrote it as a willow tree. Well, I understand it can be confusing if you don't know the basics." He explained to me patiently about the mistakes that I made. "Oh is that so? Thanks for the correction! I will try my best to translate this!" I said smiling while I was typing non stop on the laptop not looking at him. After a few paragraphs, I was stuck in another obstacle that I don't know how to decipher or how to interpret it. I leaned back in my chair and just stare at my laptop's monitor.

Callicco Now here is the second story. Still not finished writing this one so I'll just post some of it. Just saw their new MV Hit and loving the silver hair of The8 and Mingyu's blueish hair!
