章節 14: Chapter 14: Meet The Parents

Nancy’s POV

Ronnie wraps an arm around my waist, helping me stand up straight from my near fall. I plaster on my prettiest smile as we approach Ronnie’s parents. Neither of them looks too happy right now.

With his hand still on my lower back, Ronnie introduces us. “Nancy, these are my parents, Donald and Dorothy Ledger. Mother, Father; this is Nancy, my girlfriend,” Ronnie speaks confidently.

“Hi, it’s so nice to meet you two.” I hold out my hand for them to shake, but they both look at my hand and then at each other.

“Honey, you didn’t tell us you were bringing a date tonight. We had asked Mrs. Williams if she’d bring her daughter for you to meet,” Dorothy said with a weak smile.

“Mother, I told you I was already seeing someone.” Ronnie’s voice was tinged with confusion.
