章節 7: JUST A TASTE
Bethany was furious that Davin was giving more attention to the servant girl than her. She came to stand in front of Davin and glared at him.
"What?"
"I asked you a question and you chose to ignore it." Exclaimed Bethany. "Instead your attending to this useless piece of garbage."
Lilly just stood there watching the Lady argue with Davin. This is interesting, thought Lilly to herself.
"And why would you be jealous of this useless piece of trash?" Davin asked with a wicked grin on his face.
"I am not jealous of this lowly human servant of yours." Bethany's hand moved up and down pointing at Lilly as she said this."I was just wondering why you are tending to her and not me."
"Well haven't you thought that maybe this human girl is more interesting than you?" Davin raised one brow and his grin fell off his lips.
"What could she possibly have that would make her more interesting than me?"
"Well.. She keeps me entertained, she does the dishes for me, she is short, cute and beautiful." Lilly's eyes widened at that. She didn't expect him to say that about her. If not for her dark skin, her cheeks would be turning red by now.
Her mother was a black woman who came from a poor back ground. She was caught by the King of windleaf and taken as the third wife. She was the King's favorite wife out of the six wives he married. He even made her the Queen.
"Are you saying she is more attractive than me?" Asked Bethany.
"Oh no you're the one who said that not me." Davin got tired of the pointless argument he was having with Bathany. " Come on birdie let's go."
Lilly just followed Davin. She saw how Davin was annoyed and not in any mood for another argument with her.
Davin and Lilly left Bathany in the dinning hall. Lilly had to run to keep up with Davin's footsteps. She started wondering where they were going and asked "Where are we going?"
"Just shut it and follow me." What Lilly didn't know was that Davin was taking her to his room. Davin lead Lilly to his quarters, it had about three bed rooms excluding Davin's room, a living room, four bathrooms, a small kitchen and the King's room itself.
Davin opened the door to his room and showed Lilly the way in. She moved in hesitantly as she had no idea where Davin took her. She heard the door close behind her and as she looked around her, she realised that this was a bedroom.
"Welcome to my room birdie." She heard Davin say from behind her. Ever since he saw her at her father's castle, Davin wanted her to be his and no one else's and when he saw her run in the forest all he wanted was to sink his fangs into her skin.
Now that he had her in his room the urge to taste her blood grow even more. He could hear her heart racing. He then saw her turn around to face him and he just stared at her.
Lilly felt Davin's intense gaze and started wishing she hadn't followed him here. He could feel Lilly's nervousness and it made him smile. He took a step closer to her and she took a step back. He kept closing the distance and she kept moving back until she hit one of the bed posts.Lilly was scared of what Davin was planning on doing.
"Don't worry all I want is a taste. I won't suck you dry." Davin said spiking up her nervousness which turned to fear.
"Wh..what do you mean?" asked Lilly with a shaky voice.
"Oh come on birdie I know you're a smart girl. Don't you know what I am?" He grinned and showed his sharp fangs and he run his tongue over them. " I thought you noticed. My eyes, my speed, my fangs and my strength. oh I forgot I haven't shown you that part yet."Davin said casually as if it was something so obvious.
"Y-you are... no it can't be. T-those were just silly stories they told us to keep us from wondering off alone." Lilly said, more to herself than the person in front of her.
"Who told what silly stories?" Realising that Davin was now only inches away from her face, her heart beat even louder.
With the way he was so close to her right now, Davin could hear her blood move in her veins. He looked at her chest which was heaving up and down rapidly then up to her neck.He tilted his head and moved it close to her neck.
Lilly started panicking as she realised what he was and what he was about to do. She could no longer pull air into her lungs. She could hear her own heartbeat in her ears. She felt Davin's lips blush on the sensitive skin of her neck and she was consumed with darkness.
Davin felt Lilly's body fall on him. She had passed out because she was so scared she couldn't hold on to her consciousness. Davin carried Lilly and placed her on his bed. He then called for Matilda and she came as fast as she could.
He told Matilda to bring Lilly back to her room in the servants' quarters. Matilda managed to carry Lilly as she was used to carrying heavy things around the castle.
Lilly slowly opened her eyes and found herself in the room she had woken up the previous morning. She sat up on the bed and tried to recall what happened the previous night. She wondered how she got back to this room. The last thing she rembered was being in Davin's room. She remembered how Davin tried explaining to her what he was and what he wanted.
she then got off the bed and rashed to the small mirror which was nailed to the wall by the window. She tilted her head to the side and checked for any bite marks. She let out a sigh of relief after checking every possible part of her body that he could have biten.
She went back to sit on the bed with her feet on the ground and stared at the small window in her room. She got up from the bed after a few minutes and went to the window after hearing birds singing. She peeked through the little space between the curtains and saw a large garden.
