章節 15: ESCAPE TRIAL PART 1
"Oh that explains the mood swings."
What the hell is wrong with this idiot? I don't have any mood swings. He just came to my bloody room and toy with me, getting angry, smirking then being serious the next second and I am the one with the mood swings? This guy is simply impossible.
"Am I the one with the mood swings?" I asked Davin with a serious face forgetting that I was embarrassed just seconds ago.
"Of course." I bet this idiot doesn't even know what mood swings are. "But anyway stay here till you feel better." Thanks for your concern your royal highness. Wow I didn't know I was this sarcastic.
Davin left my room and I was left alone in silence. Now I had to start planning for my escape since that devil was preoccupied with his guests. if I wasn't successful in this escape then I had to say bye bye to freedom.
Well luckily Davin didn't take away the precious jewelry I took from home. So all I had to do was escape this place and I would survive after selling the jewelry. Now I had to figure out how to get passed the guards and the damned wolves. Why would anybody keep wolves as pets?
After two days passed my wrist was all better thanks to the quick recovery of my body but even so I still pretended to have a dislocated wrist. Some of the guests were supposed to leave today so I planned on tagging along. I want to be as far away from this place as possible.
I sneaked out of my room to observe the situation and went back without being noticed. Everyone was busy trying to keep the guests entertained. Matilda bearly paid attention to me since she thought my wrist was still hurt. I was going to miss her she very much reminded me of Grace.
Now all I had to do was wait for the guests to start returning to there respective homes. This was my best chance of escaping since those damn dogs wouldn't be released. I think he wouldn't let them run around freely while there are guests right?
It was dinner time and Davin ask me to be there at the table this time around. Luckily Bethany had gone back to her place other wise she would have been staring daggers at me. As usual I just stood there with the other servants waiting for Davin and his guests to finish eating.
I noticed a new girl in the dining hall. She was sitting next to a man who emitted a very powerful aura but not as powerful as Davin. The girl looked so arrogant yet so pure. She was as beautiful as a fairy and had eyes as clear as the night skies.
" So, Lord Vindwell I heard you have an enchanted garden here in your castle. " The girl said to Davin.
"I don't know about enchanted but I do have a lot of garden here in my castle." Davin replied surprisingly without any hint of mockery or sarcasm. I know for sure if it were anybody else who ask about the garden he would give a sarcastic answer.
"I hope you don't mind showing me around your gardens. You see I have a thing for gardens, my father even made a greenhouse for my garden back at home. Too bad our climate is not good for most plants." She a bit disappointed with her home climate but she looked expectantly at Davin.
"Okay, I'll let someone who also has a thing for gardens show you around since I'll be busy your father princess." Ooh so she was a princess. That explains a lot.
"Lilly!" I heard my name being called. Damn I thought he had forgotten about me I thought to myself. "You will be in charge of showing the princess around the gardens" I almost choked on my saliva. What the hell! This asshole, is doing this on purpose so that I can not escape from this hell hole!
There are people who have been here for many years and know every corner of this crippy castle yet he chose me me of all people to accompany the princess. I didn't even realise I was glaring at him with those thoughts in my mind.
"You have any problem with that that birdie?" That stupid name again. Can't he just let me glare in peace. "Absolutely not my lord." I said with an obviously fake smile. Davin chuckled when he saw the smile I guess he found it rather amusing.
The princess and the man next to whom I guessed to be her father were now staring at me. I bowed my head and focused on my feet.
"What never a forced slave glare at there bloody master?" I mumbled to myself forget that those damn creatures can hear things from a mile away. I cover my mouth with my hand quickly.
I didn't want to look up because I could feel the gaze of the people on the table on me, stabbing me like a thousand daggers. My heart started racing. Was he going to punish me for not minding my words while he has guests?
Oh no, no ,no I had to escape tonight. If he finds me he'll make sure I stay beside him as part of the punishment then I wouldn't be able to escape.
Davin didn't say anything regarding my behavior and continued eating. When they were done with there food, we cleaned the table and headed back to my room. After a short while Matilda came to find me.
"You sure are getting bolder and bolder. The lord might be nice to you but he also has a limit to his patience. You better go apologize to him willingly other wise it won't end well for you."
I know Matilda said this only because she was worried about me but I couldn't help but still show my rebellious behavior.
"I am not going to apologize for anything. I did nothing wrong. He is keeping here against my will. isn't that being a forced slave?"
"I know he is keeping you against your will but believe when I say you don't want to make him mad."Matilda left after saying those words. I let out a very heavy sigh. Why me? Why does it have to be me?
Whether dead or alive I will get the hell out of this place tonight.
