The novel starts off quite well. The premise is quite interesting even though a bit cliche and the world is extremely interesting since it's set in modern times. The chinese myth elements are also quite cool and the characters are fine. There's just one little problem, after chapter like 300 the Chinese patriotism becomes a bit too annoying. Like always the chinese are number 1 of all time, the whole China has always been the center of the world thing. Also the west is obviously represent as hysterical beings who follow the Vatican. All in all it isn't a bad novel (especially the first 200 chapters) but after a while it starts leaving a bad taste in your mouh.

I started this right when it came out on webnovel, and was surprised with how good it got. It's OK in the biggining, but as you continue the author does a good job of expanding the world and putting everything together, right until you get to where I am. AND THEN THEY STOPED TRANSLATING IT RIGHT WHEN IT WAS GETTING EPIC!!! So I recommend this book, but I wouldn't get too invested until it has a regular update schedule.
This is one of the trashiest novel i have ever read. The author tried to make a smartass and he would have died everytime in his own trick if not for super plot armor. Many things in the novel are very forced. For example even in low spiritual energy earth some talented guy can train to sage (highest level on earth) within every few decades. Maybe Author is trying to say they just needed so called talent and they can be saint very quickly even with alomost no resources. Author is really immature.

I dropped this novel after 50 something chapter as some fat guy tries to kill the mc chu yu multiple times and plots against him yet the mc lets him live and even enhance his cultivation. I was like wtf is this. The author tries to make the mc seem heartless and cruel as he just kills 2 people from large clans in the same place yet simply because of the trope of having a fatty friend in these novels he left him alive. smh, i thought the novel was truly not bad before this point even if every single person in it from the chu clan wants chu yu dead for some bs reason. Lets not talk about how he has the power to increase others cultivation, something he could be killed and hunted down by the world if he uses it. But the mc decides to use it on his guards (who are completely useless) and his uncle. Then he also uses this on a fox girl to heal her and a fat thief. The mc is fkn stupid and it seems the author just continuously adds more unnecessary drama and enemies all the time. Yes i know this is in every martial arts novel but still kinda annoying. And dont get me started on him hiding his identity from his lover. That makes no sense and is completely pointless. And that crow, like fk is he doing, lord thief. All he does is create problems for the mc by beating everyone up for no reason. And last, chu yu leaves the guy who has been plotting to kill him, and is also the fiance of his lover alive. This makes no sense and is only going to come back and create problems for chu yu in the future. Some bs, should have killed him instead of injuring him and crushing his nuts, was mad at this.

When the side character got more chicks than the main character thats why it fall from grace sometime i wonder whos even the real MC here!!!!!!
