章節 288: Martial King!

編輯: Kurisu

Qin Rulong looked at the photograph with disbelief for a long time before he burst into laughter!

"Haha! Martial King! This is the grave of the Martial King!"

Qin Rulong willowy body straightened significantly, and his head of white started to darken. His wrinkled skin became smoother, and there was even a hint of healthy red on his cheeks!

A monstrous aura shot into the sky, shattering all the lights in the corridor!

"Urgh!"

The Qin Clan elders grunted dully and retreated repeatedly. They had undeniably been affected by the powerful aura!

Only Qin Wufa remained on the same spot, seemingly unaffected. In truth, he was secretly shocked in his heart. Although Fake Dan experts were seemingly only half a step away from Controlled Dan Heavenly Experts, that half a step was actually as far apart as the sky and the sea!

"Get ready, we're moving out immediately! Your chance to break through to the Controlled Dan realm is at hand!"

Hi everyone, I will be attempting to tone down the (inevitable) racism in this novel as much as possible with my translation so that it will be as enjoyable a read for readers outside of China. Some novels (including this one) tend to portray certain races and countries in a negative light or, very often, as villains. This may be attributed to a myriad of reasons, mainly with roots in history and culture. In the instance of this novel, there are some obvious bias against the Japanese people, which might be confusing to readers from other countries. The reason for this bias is that there were many conflicts between the two countries in the past, including the massacre and rape of Nanking's residents by Japanese troops during the Second Sino-Japanese War. The reason I am writing this is so that the readers can understand why the author tends to vilify certain races, and why it is more acceptable to Chinese readers and less so for foreign readers. Interestingly, the sentiments of the Chinese nowadays towards the Japanese are actually not as bad as people would assume. I have included a link below for some perspective on the matter for you guys if you wish to check it out. Cheers ^^

ED/N: I'll add my own 3 cents as well. Actually, the conflicts between China and Japan are very old. To show some examples, Japanese pirates were raiding China in the middle ages, and in even more distant history (like 2000 years ago or sth), the Chinese looked down on the Japanese and even joked that the Japanese were the descendants of a Chinese princess who fornicated with an ape... I suppose the attitude at that time was like that of Romans towards barbarians.
