　　After Alexander's call, I'd spent the next couple of minutes trying to figure out what Abel Westcott wanted to say to me and had ended up asking Via to follow me to the fruit shop not so far from our office so that I could take a fruit basket to the hospital, updating her about everything that had happened since George's blackmail.

　　"Or a romance novel," Via added, her tone shifting. "Two conglomerates vying for your heart and soul. It's like a plot twist no one saw coming." She paused, her eyes twinkling with amusement. "You know, this is the kind of drama that only happens in books."
