章節 14: *One Piece: A Side Story – The Forgotten Isle (Part 14)*
The shadow that emerged from the swirling vortex was colossal, its form taking shape as it slowly rose from the depths of the island's core. The ground shook violently beneath the crew's feet as the creature's massive figure materialized in front of them. It was a behemoth of stone and energy, its features shifting between solid rock and glowing light, as if it were both ancient and alive at the same time.
Luffy stared in awe, his usual grin faltering for the first time. "What... what is that thing?"
Zoro, his swords drawn and ready, stood next to Luffy. "I don't know, but it doesn't look friendly."
Sanji was already in a fighting stance, kicking up dust with each movement. "Whatever it is, it's not going to stop us."
The cloaked figure, standing at the edge of the chamber, seemed almost resigned. "It's the guardian of the island's power—a being born from the heart of this land, bound to protect it for eternity. The island itself has chosen to test you. Only those who prove worthy can survive its trial."
The creature's eyes—two glowing orbs of ancient light—fixed on the crew, and a low, rumbling voice echoed through the chamber. "You have awakened the island's power, but are you prepared to wield it?"
Luffy, eyes sparkling with determination, stepped forward. "I'm always ready for a fight!" He clenched his fists, preparing to attack.
But Robin, her expression serious, held out a hand to stop him. "Luffy, wait! This isn't just a fight. It's a test. We need to understand what it wants from us, or we'll never survive."
The massive creature loomed closer, its enormous form casting a shadow that stretched across the room. Its body seemed to pulse with energy, and each step it took sent shockwaves through the air.
The cloaked figure's voice was quiet but urgent. "The island's power is not a gift. It is a burden. A force that can reshape the world, for better or for worse. This guardian will judge whether you are worthy to wield such power."
The creature's voice boomed again, resonating deep within their bones. "Prove your strength, prove your heart, or be consumed by the island's wrath."
Without warning, the guardian lunged forward, its stone fists raised to strike.
"Everyone, get ready!" Luffy shouted, charging toward the creature with a mighty leap. His fists stretched out, slamming into the golem's massive arm. But the impact only caused a few cracks to form in the stone—nothing that would stop the guardian.
Zoro dashed in, slashing at the beast's legs with his swords, while Sanji followed with a series of powerful kicks. But the guardian's form seemed almost indestructible, and every blow they landed seemed to heal almost instantly.
"How do we defeat this thing?!" Usopp yelled, frantically loading his slingshot with a special explosive.
Robin's mind raced as she examined the guardian's movements, looking for any weakness. "We need to target its core, just like before. If we can break its connection to the island's power, it should fall!"
Luffy grinned again, his spirit unbroken. "Then let's break it!"
With renewed determination, the crew charged in together, ready to face whatever this island's trial had in store for them.
