章節 33: The Nervous Girl
"Not good enough!" Oriana looked at Olivia with disdain. But she did not stop and kept her head bowed.
"Why, I felt like it was fine!" Oriana paused. Her eyes widened and she adjusted her dress at once.
"Your highness!" Oriana curtsied. "It is my honor to meet you here."
Edward took a step in and laughed.
"See, she did it just like you." Oriana blushed as she let go of her skirt and pouted at him.
"Yes, but I did not know she was greeting you. I thought she was still practicing with me as she had requested." Even when Olivia had heard her sister flirting so many times, she still could not learn how her voice turned so seductive yet.. It perfectly matches her childish actions. "You are tiptoeing in a girl's room, your highness. What are your intentions?"
Oriana had already walked closer to Edward and was standing just a foot away. As long as he wanted, he could pull her into his embrace. Her sweet fragrance was already lingering on his body.
"Ah! But you have left the door open, my lady. When I passed through, I thought I should greet you as you have invited me. Who would have thought you are busy pretending to be me. I am relieved that i did not have my brother with me." he laughed softly making Oriana blush again.
"I.. I apologise, your highness. I was brazen." the way she bowed, her dress was pulled down and more of her ample cleavage could be seen. Edward's eyes twinkled and his smile broadened.
"It is alright. At least I looked this beautiful even for a second." he finally looked back at the girl still bowing, "oh goodness, you can stand miss Witherland. Duchess, your sister is so uptight." Though he teased, his voice had a hint of approval.
"She is nervous, your highness. When I told her that we are going to spend time with you. I tell you, she had changed her dress and hairstyle a dozen of times afraid that you would not like her presence." Oriana waved her hands toward Olivia. Taking the hint, Olivia walked closer and stood beside Oriana. The distance between her and Edward was only three steps now.
He could see her exquisite face, her sharp features, her bright and calm eyes and her fair skin. His eyes linger on her for a long time.
"Your highness will make the girl nervous." Edward finally looked back at smiling Oriana. She did not seem to mind that he was staring at Olivia.
"Ah! I just wanted to praise her efforts."
