Selene wanted Gabriel to be silent. The divorce was done quickly to her surprise. Even the court appeared surprised by her willingness to get away from Gabriel.

Selene didn't want anything from Gabriel. Nothing that she might have left at his home or any apologies for the shame he brought her. All she wanted was not to be recognised as a Valor.
