37.5% Capture Target: I'll have them all / Chapter 8: Rescue

章節 8: Rescue

Once I entered the coastal city, I started to roam around the market to find a suitable weapon so I could face the problems that came when saving Emily Frost. The marketplace was bustling with life, merchants calling out their wares, and the salty breeze mingling with the vibrant colors of fruits and fabrics. I wove through the crowd, scanning the stalls for anything that could serve my purpose.

After roaming around the market for some time, I finally found a sword that was suitable for me. It was hanging above a small stall, its gleaming blade reflecting the sunlight. The hilt was wrapped in dark leather, worn, yet comfortable to grip. It felt right in my hand as I swung it a few times, testing its balance. The merchant, an older gentleman with a weathered face and wise eyes, noticed my interest and approached.

"That blade has seen many battles," he said, his voice low and gravelly. "It has a spirit of its own, you see. If you treat it well, it will serve you in return."

I nodded, exchanging a handful of coins for my newfound weapon. The weight of it felt comforting, as though it was meant to be. With the sword strapped securely to my back, I turned towards the exit of the market, my heart pounding with purpose. Emily Frost was in danger, and every moment wasted meant another moment she remained at risk or saved by that idiot Jack, so I can't waste my time.

As I made my way out of the city, the path led me through thickening woods. Trees towered above me, their branches intertwining like a protective canopy, but I knew that this forest held secrets of its own. I could almost feel the darkness lurking between the shadows -a reminder of the dangers I would face. Racing thoughts filled my mind, each one sharper than the last. What had happened that led to her abduction? Who was behind it? Well they are heretics who just kidnap beutiful girls and poison them with aphrodisiacs and rape them on a Altar when those girls can't control themselves and after that kill them on the same Altar.

Determined to find an opportunity to save Emily Frost, I pressed onward, my senses heightened. The forest was alive with sounds-the rustling of leaves, the distant call of birds, and the subtle crackle of twigs underfoot. But beneath it all, there was an underlying tension, as if the very air thickened with the weight of impending conflict.

I followed a narrow path, my eyes darting to and fro, searching for any sign of her captors. My mindwandered back to Emily-the brilliant, fearless woman I had grown to admire in the game. The way she laughed, her eyes sparkling like stars, ignited a fierce determination within me. I would not let her go, I have to make her mine.

After a while, I stumbled upon a clearing that opened up ahead. The sunlight poured in, illuminating a stone altar draped in dark cloth-an omen of what lay ahead. I crept closer, my instincts telling me that I was nearing something significant. But just as I reached the edge of the clearing, I heard voices.

Crouching low, I peeked through the brush, and my heart sank. There, gathered around the altar, were a group of hooded figures, their faces obscured in darkness. Shadows danced around them, lit by flickering torches. In the center, bound and gagged, lay Emily.

The sight of her, vulnerable and scared, ignited a fire within my chest. I could feel the power of the sword hanging at my side, and I knew this was my chance.

With the stealth of a predator, I surveyed the scene. There were five figures, more than I had anticipated, but their concentration was fixed on the altar. They seemed to be chanting in low, guttural tones, surrounded by an air thick with impending doom. I had to act quickly.

With a deep breath, I drew the sword from its sheath. The blade glimmered in the light, and I focused my mind. I stepped cautiously out of the brush, clutching the sword tightly in my hands as I approached the clearing.

"You will not take her!" I shouted, my voice steady despite the adrenaline coursing through my veins.

The chanting ceased, and the figures slowly turned, their heads tilting in unison as their hooded forms faced me. Surprise flickered across their features, and that moment of hesitation was all I needed.

One of them, larger than the others, stepped forward, revealing a face contorted in malice. "You should have stayed away, fool. You don't understand the power you are meddling with."

Without waiting for another word I charged forward. The sword felt alive in my hand, guiding me as I swung it towards the nearest figure. The blade met flesh with a sickening thud, and the figure crumpled to the ground. Well what can you expect from this grunts who are the steppingstone of protaginist, they are two weak.

Panic erupted among the remaining hooded figures, and within seconds, they regained their composure, rushing toward me with angered shouts. The fight became chaotic, and I was engulfed in a flurry of strikes and blows. I swung my sword, deflecting the blows aimed at me, my body moving instinctively to evade any attacks.

The second figure lunged at me, and with a swift movement, I sidestepped, turning the attack against him. My sword found its mark, and he, too, fell. The fear I had felt moments before morphed into fierce determination as I concentrated on the enemies ahead.

Dodge. Swing. Parry. I moved like the tide, slowly turning the tables against them. With each enemy that fell, Emily's promise of freedom sparked brighter in my mind.

But then there was just one remaining-the leader, the one who had threatened me earlier. His anger radiated from him like heat from the sun as he drew closer, a dagger glinting wickedly in his hand. He lunged, and I barely managed to dodge, feeling the wind from the blade brush past my arm.

"You will regret this," he growled, advancing again. This time, I stood my ground, trusting in my sword and the courage it had bestowed upon me. As he swung wildly, I stepped forward, using all my strength to redirect the blow and counter.

With precision, I thrust my sword forward, and it plunged deep into his chest. He gasped, surprise flickering across his features, and then he fell, lifeless, onto the forest floor.

Panting heavily, I felt the aftershock of the battle settle in. The remaining cloaked figures had fled, their chants silenced. I turned toward Emily, rushing to her side and cutting the ropes that bound her.

"Are you okay," I breathed, looking into her eyes. Relief washed over me as she stared back, wide-eyed but unharmed. Even if I am half a day early than the original it's still not mean that I can relax and think that nothing can go wrong.

"Who are you," she whispered, her voice trembling, her was red. It's clear that she is suffering from Aphrodisiacs.

"My name is ray, don't worry I will not leave you behind, just hold on" I replied, helping her up as she steadied herself but I know that she won't be able to suppress that strong Aphrodisiacs for very long time. In original Jack had sex with her because she couldn't control herself but now I am in his place and he won't be here before half a day, so she is already mine.

The two of us stood in the clearing, so much unspoken between us, yet somehow, everything felt right. Outside the chaos, in this moment of calm, I realized that our fates were intertwined. Together, we would face whatever danger lay ahead, but for now, we were free and as for Jack he had now lost his apportunity.

As we made our way back through the forest, I felt a sense of heat returning in my body because of her rapidly growing heat and breathing. The battles we are going to faced is about to come and just then she clung to my body tightly and kissed me.

It's starting.
