61.76% Incarnation of Lord Vishnu / Chapter 21: The Test of the Soul

章節 21: The Test of the Soul

A blue light enveloped Arya, Laksmi, and Mahendra as they stepped into the portal. When they opened their eyes, an entirely different world lay before them. The sky was purple with low-lying stars. The ground beneath their feet glowed with golden light, like a living ocean of energy.

"Where are we?" Mahendra whispered, his voice trembling with wonder.

"This is not the real world," Laksmi replied, looking around. "This is the world of the soul. A place where our deepest truths will be tested."

Before they could go any further, the three were separated by an invisible force. Arya, Laksmi, and Mahendra suddenly stood in different spaces, each facing a reflection of themselves.

Arya

Arya stood before himself, but the figure looked different. The eyes that looked back at him were filled with hatred and doubt.

"Do you think you are worthy of being the incarnation of Lord Vishnu?" the figure asked in a cold voice. "You are just an orphan who has always depended on others."

Arya clenched her fists. "I may not be perfect, but I am determined to protect this world."

"Really? What if your power destroys everything? What if you are the reason the darkness wins?"

The words hit Arya like a storm. She knew that fear was indeed within her. But she lifted her head, looking at the figure with courage.

"I choose to believe in myself," Arya answered firmly. "I will fight, even if the world is against me."

The figure smiled faintly before disappearing, leaving Arya in a peaceful silence.

Laksmi

In her room, Laksmi was faced with a shadow of her past a frightened young girl, running from the destruction of her village.

"You will never be strong enough," the girl said. "You are just a witch who borrowed the power of her ancestors. You are nothing."

Laksmi took a deep breath. "I was nothing before. But I have learned, and I have fought. This power is a part of me, and I will use it to protect others."

The girl smiled slowly, then disappeared, leaving behind a soft light that warmed Laksmi's heart.

Mahendra

Mahendra stood in the middle of a dark forest. Before him stood the figure of his father, holding the same spear that had once taught him.

"You failed to protect your family," his father said in a voice full of disappointment. "How can you protect the world?"

Mahendra lowered his head, guilt hitting him like a wave. But he remembered the promise he had made to himself.

"Yes, I failed in the past. But I will not repeat that mistake. I promise to protect those who remain, no matter what."

His father nodded slowly before vanishing, leaving Mahendra with the now-glowing spear.

The three friends reappeared in the same room, each with eyes filled with new confidence. The Seal Keeper appeared before them, smiling proudly.

"You have passed the first test," he said. "However, the journey is long. Prepare, for greater trials await."

The blue light enveloped them again, transporting them out of the soul world into a darker, more mysterious place.

As the three stepped through the glowing portal, the atmosphere around them changed drastically. The air felt different, as if filled with pure energy that stung their skin. The sky above them was not the usual blue, but a deep purple with hints of gold. Beneath their feet, the ground glowed like frozen lava, indicating that this was not the real world.

Arya paused for a moment, taking a deep breath. "This… is not our world," she said softly, trying to comprehend what she was seeing.

"This is a world where our souls will be tested," Laksmi said in a wary tone. "I read about this. Only those who have the courage to face themselves can survive."

"That means there is no turning back," Mahendra added, gripping his spear tighter.

Before they could go any further, an invisible force separated them. A strong wind suddenly blew, pushing Arya, Laksmi, and Mahendra in different directions. In an instant, they stood alone in an empty space, each facing a test designed specifically for their souls.

Arya: The Mirror of Fear

Arya opened her eyes and found herself standing in front of a giant mirror. In the mirror, he saw his own reflection but it looked different. The figure's eyes gleamed blood red, full of hatred and arrogance.

"Do you think you deserve to be the incarnation of Lord Vishnu?" the shadow asked mockingly.

Arya gritted his teeth. "I didn't choose this. But I will do my best to fulfill my destiny."

The shadow laughed sarcastically. "You? An orphan who can't even protect his family? You are only a burden to those around you. If you accept this power, you will only destroy them."

The words stabbed Arya's heart. He remembered his childhood, when he was unable to save his mother from the bandits' rampage. The guilt haunted his every step.

"No," Arya answered, though his voice trembled slightly. "I am not the same child anymore. I may have failed in the past, but I have learned from those mistakes. I will protect those I love."

The shadow frowned, as if angry that Arya would not give in to his fears. "If you believe it, prove it. Face me."

Without warning, the shadow leapt out of the mirror, charging at Arya with incredible speed. Arya drew her chakra, fighting back with all the strength she had. Each strike from the shadow reflected her own weaknesses and fears, but Arya did not back down.

"It's not about being perfect," Arya shouted as she launched her final attack. "It's about never giving up!"

With one confident blow, Arya destroyed the shadow. As the figure vanished, she felt the weight on her chest lift, replaced by a newfound confidence.

Laksmi: Shadow of the Past

In her room, Laksmi stood in the dark, silent forest. Before her, a little girl appeared, her face full of fear. Laksmi recognized the girl her past self, as she fled the destruction of her village.

"You'll never be strong enough," the little girl said in a trembling voice. "You're just a little witch who borrowed the power of our ancestors. You're nothing without them."

Laksmi sighed, the pain of the old memories returning. "Yes, I was weak. I was afraid. But I survived. I learned and grew."

The little girl looked up at him with tear-filled eyes. "But what if you fail again? What if you can't protect the ones you love?"

Laksmi approached the girl, kneeling down to be at her level. "I will fail, maybe many times. But I will not stop trying. True strength is not about never falling, but about always getting back up."

Slowly, the little girl disappeared, leaving behind a soft glow that warmed Laksmi's heart. She felt calmer, more confident.

Mahendra: Shadows of Loss

Mahendra stood before a figure he never thought he would see again his father. The man held the same spear he had taught Mahendra as a child.

"You failed your family," his father said in a tone full of disappointment. "How can you protect the world?"

Mahendra lowered his head, the guilt he had been harboring hitting him hard. "I know I failed," he whispered. "I wasn't there when they needed me."

His father stared at him sharply. "If you can't forgive yourself, how can you move forward? How can you carry the weight of the world on your shoulders?"

Mahendra lifted his head, his eyes gleaming with new determination. "I may have failed in the past, but I will not let that define me. I will protect those who remain, no matter what."

His father nodded slowly, then handed Mahendra his spear. As the man disappeared, the spear began to glow, filled with an energy that felt like the spirit of his family.

Back Together

The three of them reappeared in the same room, each with a newfound confidence in their eyes. The light around them grew brighter, and from within the light, a guardian emerged. He was tall and radiated an aura of peace.

"You have passed the first test," the Guardian said in a soft but firm voice. "However, you have a long way to go. What you have learned today will be the foundation for what is to come."

Arya, Laksmi, and Mahendra looked at each other, then nodded. They knew this was just the beginning, but their conviction was stronger than ever. The guard waved his hand, opening a new portal that looked darker and more mysterious. "Be prepared. The next trial will test not only your souls, but also your hearts and friendships." As they stepped inside, they felt a piercing chill, as if the world beyond the portal was filled with dangers they had never imagined.
