章節 48: Chapter Forty-eight: Has Someone Entered My Miniature World?

Over a hundred seasoned artisans from the Nalan clan gathered in one place, perusing the shipbuilding documents distributed by Nalan Xia. Given that Wang Hui had recorded a relatively comprehensive history of ship development, beginning from primitive vessels, some of the artisans initially regarded the information with indifference. After all, their ships had long since become adept at traversing the waters of the Pinchuan River—what need was there to revisit such rudimentary designs?

However, it was not long before the hall, previously filled with murmurs and chuckles, fell into a stunned silence. The artisans were left speechless, overwhelmed by the intricacies of the ship structures that were presented! It is noteworthy that the portion they had reviewed comprised only a third of the total material, yet its technical complexity clearly surpassed their understanding. What could the subsequent designs possibly entail?

In truth, this was a consequence of Wang Hui's laziness; he had not included details about the modern ships from the outer world. Had he revealed aircraft carriers with displacements exceeding one hundred thousand tons, it would have surely left these artisans utterly flabbergasted!

"Leader... may I inquire who authored these shipbuilding blueprints?" The heavily bearded Nalan Yuan could no longer contain his curiosity, prompting the others to turn their gazes towards their leader. They were convinced that the Nalan clan possessed no such prodigious talent!

"It is the work of the divine."

Nalan Xia did not keep them in suspense. Upon witnessing the artisans' expressions of understanding, she held her cup and continued in a somber tone, "Do not assume that divine guidance alone will allow us to construct massive warships capable of dominating the seas. The deities have warned us that there exist hostile factions beyond the ocean, and if the three clans do not prepare before the next passage opens, we may find ourselves facing extinction!"

"But..." A young artisan mustered his courage to respond, "We are blessed children of the deities; surely those inferior foreign tribes cannot surpass us?"

"Naive!" Nalan Xia arched an eyebrow, her expression rarely betraying anger. "Complacency and arrogance will inevitably lead to the withdrawal of the deities' favor! Furthermore, the world is not limited to our own; do you think there is only one deity? If the foreign tribes across the ocean also enjoy divine favor, what resources do we possess to resist their advances?!"

Her words sent a ripple of shock throughout the assembly. Observing the wide-eyed expressions around her, Nalan Xia moderated her tone but infused it with an unwavering conviction: "Regardless, we have only two years to prepare for war. The deities have bestowed upon us intricate techniques; our task is to remember and implement them! The survival of the three clans rests squarely on your diligent efforts!"

---

In the external world, Wang Hui awaited a moment before closing the passage between the two realms. Time resumed its normal flow for the three clans while maintaining synchronization with the Bay World, effectively granting the clan world additional time for development and forcibly narrowing the gap between the two civilizations!

"With the information I provided, the industrialization of the three clans will accelerate significantly. Coupled with their inherent advantage of being nearly superhuman, they will likely hold their ground against the civilization of the Bay World..." Wang Hui was unaware that Nalan Xia had concocted numerous additional crises in her mind, even envisioning a scenario of "divine warfare"! Yet this astute female leader was known for her prudent approach; each time Wang Hui offered a slight suggestion, she typically exceeded expectations. This time would be no exception.

"Tomorrow, we shall see how far they have progressed..." Noticing it was now well past midnight, Wang Hui stretched and retreated to his bedroom to rest. As for the intelligence regarding the island sprite crisis mentioned by Justin, there was no need for immediate action; it was likely an exaggerated rumor. He could simply descend the following morning to investigate personally.

What Wang Hui failed to notice was the presence of a small, pale green object drifting along the edge of the sea in the northwestern part of the Bay World, as if searching for something.

That was an eye!

A long-distance reconnaissance spell—Wizard's Eye!

"How could it have vanished... Could it be that what I saw earlier was merely an illusion?"

On a distant island, a gaunt middle-aged man wearing a pointed hat was concentrating. He was Lannon, a wizard under the command of the seventh prince of the Storm Kingdom. Covering his left eye with one hand, he murmured incantations, commanding the Wizard's Eye to scan the ocean.

Lannon had originally followed his prince's orders to search the islands at the ocean's edge for the main group of sprites, intending to capture a few for pets and attempt to monopolize the sprite slave trade. However, he had recently stumbled upon the disappearance of the world boundary, revealing a vast plain beyond the sea!

Assuming the Wizard's Eye had malfunctioned, he had drawn closer to cast the spell once more, only to witness a small boat laden with soldiers sailing from the opposite side, only to be capsized by the winds and waves… He had even recovered several fragments of the small vessel!

Yet tonight, when he attempted to use the Wizard's Eye to investigate the plain again, the world boundary reappeared, infuriating him.

"I have confirmed this multiple times; it cannot be an illusion!"

This was a monumental discovery of new land; if disseminated, his name would surely be celebrated throughout the nations. He could not afford to give up so easily!

With this thought in mind, Lannon summoned his trained seagull, penned a letter for it to deliver back to the Storm Capital, his eyes gleaming with avarice.

"That backward and ignorant nation across the sea shall become the stepping stone for my glorious ascent!"

---

The following morning, Wang Hui awoke naturally and, as per his usual routine, first checked on the status of the miniature world. The Bay World had shown no significant changes; after all, time flowed in sync with the external world, and only seven or eight hours had passed.

In contrast, a year and a half had elapsed in the accelerated clan world, where dozens of boats were now visible on the Pinchuan River, with countless tiny figures bustling about, seemingly engaged in various adjustments.

"Ah, impressive results..." Wang Hui remarked, examining the scene with his magnifying glass.

A year and a half was insufficient for the Nalan artisans to fully grasp the materials he had provided. However, it had allowed them to bypass centuries of technological missteps, saving them from wasted trial and error, and enabled them to directly learn the most effective processing routes, resulting in the creation of quite a few impressive vessels!

Nevertheless, achieving the capability for long-distance navigation or even engaging in naval warfare would require further practical experience. Wang Hui was in no rush; he first washed his face and brushed his teeth, then prepared some fried eggs and boiled corn, sitting down to eat while scrolling through his phone.

Opening the Black Book app, he discovered numerous comments in the blind box discussion section. To Wang Hui's surprise, the previously popular posts boasting about luxury items or lamenting poor-quality finds were not receiving much attention today.

Among the top comments was a discussion related to a game...

"Can this blind box yield a game?"

Curious, Wang Hui clicked on it, revealing an extensive comment of nearly ten thousand words. It featured images and texts, appearing at first glance to be the work of a reviewer hired by the blind box company…

Yet as Wang Hui read on, his expression gradually shifted. The author spoke fervently, claiming to have extracted a groundbreaking virtual game from the blind box…

Why did those images seem familiar?

Wang Hui's eyes widened as he recognized the Storm Kingdom of the Bay World!
