章節 4: FOCUS ON STUDIES
As I left school ,I met May ,the girl I bumped into during break that afternoon. So we decided to walk together , we chatted for a while , getting to know each other . Then we exchanged contact info and I headed home .
After arriving ,as always ,my mom wasn't home . So I went up to my room ,fresher up and ate, then went to my room to study.
Around 10 pm, my mom arrived,as I headed to bed she knocked on my door and came in.
"Mom is there something you need", I asked a little confused.
"Take a seat",she says patting the space next to her.
I took a seat and stared at her.
"Cupcake ,things are not going well for us since your father died, you know that , right", she says.
I lowered my head when my father was mentioned.
"Yeah",I replied
"So please make sure you study hard and make life easier for yourself, would you. I want you to become better, bring out the best in yourself and make mom proud",she said close to tears.
I assured her I will make her proud and try my best. With that she left my room.
As I sat alone I told myself that I will not let my mom down and will focus on my studies, then I went to bed.
The next day ,at school I met May at the entrance of the school and we walked to class together. Today I decided to ignore people and focus in class . Our teacher decided to give us our first group project and we were to present it the next week.
I made up my mind to forget my crush Luke or at least ignore him, but it seems he likes me too, cuz he keeps looking at me and it's really uncomfortable.
I'll be doing a project with him and I plan to do just the project ,nothing else.
