65% my path to becoming a primordial god / Chapter 13: The Endless Cave

章節 13: The Endless Cave

The darkness wrapped around Ares like a heavy cloak, the sound of rain crashing against the rocks the only thing filling the air. Every breath felt like a blade in his chest, every movement a battle against the pain. The fall from the cliff had left him broken. His left foot was fractured, the pain so sharp that every step forced him to grit his teeth to keep from screaming. His shoulder was wounded from earlier in the chase, when an arrow fired by the guards had almost hit him. In trying to deflect it with his knife, the blade had struck back against him, slicing deep near his collarbone.

The relentless rain made everything harder. His skin was soaked, and the rocks he crawled over seemed determined to push him back. Behind him was the cliff, and in the distance, the voices of the guards searching for a way down to continue the hunt. He had no time. He needed to find shelter, or this night would be his last.

He crawled over the uneven ground, each meter gained at the cost of unbearable pain. The knife in his right hand was the only thing that still felt familiar, but at that moment, it was useless. The rocks around him offered no cover: just the gaping cliff on one side and slippery boulders on the other.

Then, a faint glimpse in his vision—a shadow darker than the darkness around him, a crack between two large rocks. Ares froze, his breathing ragged. With one final effort, he dragged himself toward that fissure. It was an opening: narrow, hard to spot, but a cave.

The entrance was barely wide enough for him to fit through. Rain poured steadily over it, forming a stream that seemed to seal the small refuge from the outside world. With the remaining strength in his arms, he pulled himself inside, scraping his hands against the rough rock. Once he passed the entrance, he collapsed onto the damp floor, gasping for air.

The cave wasn't just a shallow shelter. As his eyes adjusted to the darkness, Ares realized it went deeper—much deeper—like a pit descending into the earth. The echo of the rain outside faded into the eerie silence of the cave, hinting at an unseen depth. It was a perfect hideout but also a dangerous mystery.

With a muffled groan, he removed his soaked cloak and set it aside. He examined his shoulder: the wound was deeper than he'd thought, and blood continued to drip, mixing with the water trickling down his body. He had nothing to clean or bandage it properly. He tore a piece of his cloak and wrapped it around the injury, pulling it tight to slow the bleeding.

Then he looked at his left foot. The fall had twisted it at an unnatural angle, and the pain was unbearable just to see. He needed to immobilize it, but without supplies, it was nearly impossible. He decided to break off one of the stiffer parts of his cloak to use as a makeshift splint, wrapping it tightly with the remaining fabric. Every movement came with a groan, every knot seemed to drain a piece of his strength, but he had no choice.

Finally, he slumped against the wall of the cave. He was safe for now, but he knew the guards wouldn't give up. The cliff might slow them down, but not for long. "I have to move… deeper," he thought, staring into the darkness that disappeared into the earth's depths. It was a risk, but at that moment, it was the only option he had.

Hi guys, during the weekend I will try to fix the first chapters. Also, please let me know if the translation is good. If I have time over the weekend, I will try to create a Discord channel where I will upload character photos and some NSFW images for the R-18 scenes.
