章節 5: MSIN: Chapter 5

---

This battle was also pretty much an instant kill.

"Sensei Aizawa…"

"Ah, oh!"

Sensei Aizawa finally snapped out of it after Haori reminded him. He quickly came to the training ground. After examining Guy, he finally breathed a sigh of relief. Guy had only lost consciousness; there was no life-threatening danger.

Haori had held back with his final blow; he wouldn't hit his friends that hard.

"Haori, even though I don't know when you learned such a powerful Lightning Release, I have to remind you, that kind of technique isn't used on teammates." Sensei Aizawa called for the medical team first, then warned Haori.

"I understand, Sensei Aizawa." Haori accepted the correction. This was the first time he'd shown his strength, and he'd gone a bit overboard. Otherwise, Guy wouldn't have fainted.

The medical team came back and took Guy away.

"Ninja graduation exam, second round, first match, the winner is Shiraishi Haori!" Sensei Aizawa announced.

After Haori returned to the other students, everyone instinctively moved away from him.

He couldn't help but chuckle wryly. It seemed like he had gone too hard today. He knocked out two opponents in a row, Kurenai was one thing, but Guy... the way he looked was pretty gruesome, and his injuries probably wouldn't heal quickly.

"Haori, you hit Guy way too hard!"

As soon as Haori got back, Obito rushed over. He was truly the epitome of the duo of bottom-feeders. Even though he was banged up himself, Obito started defending Guy immediately.

"Let's go see how Guy is doing."

Rin was already standing by Guy's side. The medical ninjas were treating his wounds.

"Guy looks awful, but his injuries aren't serious, just external injuries, and he should recover in a few days." Rin said. She'd already received formal medical ninja education, so she could judge Guy's injuries.

"It's all that jerk Haori's fault. He hit him too hard." Obito repeated.

"I'm sorry. I didn't hold back with my last attack." Haori quickly apologized. He had indeed gotten carried away. He had only been thinking about using his real strength to fight Guy, and hadn't considered his opponent's ability to withstand it.

"But going all out is a sign of respect for your opponent. When you're fighting me, do you need to hold back, Obito?" Haori countered. He was just stating the facts. While he felt bad about hurting Guy, his actions weren't exactly wrong.

"I..."

Haori's words made sense. After all, no one wanted to be taken lightly by their opponent.

Would you rather hear that "I could have taken you down with 30% of my power" or "I'll go all out in the next fight"?

Obito could understand.

"When will Guy wake up?"

"He's fine. He should wake up within an hour. But it's rare to see someone beat their opponent this badly in a graduation exam." A medical ninja treating Guy said.

"…" Haori felt even more awkward.

After the second round, because of Haori and Guy's "mutual destruction," the only survivors of the four were Haori and Rin, and both of their scores had entered the top eight in the class.

Then, in the third round of the third match, Haori, after Guy, faced Rin Nohara again.

"Don't forget what you said earlier: going all out is a sign of respect for your opponent."

Rin said to Haori in the training field.

This was the so-called karmic retribution. Uchiha Obito was looking at him intently. If he hit Rin as hard as he hit Guy, the bottom-feeder would rush forward immediately.

Haori quickly raised his hand and said to Sensei Aizawa, "Sensei Aizawa, I used up all my chakra in my battle with Guy, so I'm forfeiting this round."

"You…" Sensei Aizawa was about to scold Haori, but then he decided that Haori might be telling the truth. In the battle with Guy, Haori had used a powerful Lightning Release. At his age, there were few ninjas who could achieve chakra nature transformation. Perhaps the Lightning Release really had drained Haori's chakra.

"Alright," he nodded at Haori, agreeing to his choice to forfeit, and then he announced loudly, "Graduation exam, third round, Shiraishi Haori forfeits, Rin Nohara wins by default!"

In fact, Haori was sure that his performance in the first two rounds was enough for him to graduate, so there was no need to fight Rin. Ignoring her gaze, he quickly left the training field.

Did his chakra really run out? Of course not. He had plenty of chakra left. Actually, because he had no one to compare himself to, Haori couldn't judge his own chakra levels, but judging from his physical fitness and spiritual energy, his chakra levels wouldn't be too bad.

In fact, Haori's chakra levels were considered excellent among his peers, but only excellent. There was no way to compare to the innate talent of someone like a Senju or Uzumaki.

But he did have other chakra usage techniques, namely, precise chakra control. When using jutsu, generally, some chakra is wasted. But Haori was different. With precise control, he could save 30% to 60% of his chakra compared to ordinary ninjas when performing the same jutsu.

Compared to A-rank skills or S-rank talents, this BUG-level brain was the foundation of Haori's survival in the world of Naruto.

The fourth round of the graduation exam continued. Rin Nohara's luck ran out. She lost her next match.

Haori's prediction was right. The graduation rate for Class 1 in this practical exam was very high. Even Uchiha Obito managed to graduate, let alone Shiraishi Haori.

This meant that they had all graduated, and it also meant that real war was coming. They would be sent to the battlefield soon.

Unlike the class allocation in peacetime, in wartime, new squads weren't formed with only rookie ninjas. Graduates from the academy were assigned to fill the ranks of existing squads with missing personnel.

So, in terms of the allocated battle squads, there were teams of two, teams of one, but almost no teams of three.

For example, Rin and Obito were in a team, meaning they would be assigned to a two-person squad, while Haori and Guy were both solo, meaning they would be assigned to three-person squads separately.

However, Haori was wrong. Almost all of the new graduates were sent to the battlefield, but this "almost" didn't include him. He wasn't assigned to any front-line squad, nor was he sent to the battlefield. He had to stay in Konoha.
