(POV: Tharion)
"Why bring thirty of us? You could kill that child on your own," one of the figures muttered, breaking the tense silence as they moved through the forest.
Tharion, the towering leader of the group, didn't even turn to address the comment.
Instead, his cold, crimson eyes gleamed under the moonlight.
"We're not just here to kill a single boy," Tharion said.
The same figure chuckled darkly.
"Whole academy, huh? Now that's a feast."
Tharion finally stopped, his towering form casting an intimidating shadow over the others.
"At first, I thought it was enough to crush a boy named Kael," he admitted, his tone laced with disdain.
"But the higher-ups decided differently. They want everything turned to ash—every student, every teacher, every blade of grass. Complete annihilation."
"His will?" someone whispered.
Tharion's smirk widened.
