'Did these two fight? Why is the air so tense around the dining table today?'

Anabella regretted her decision to attend breakfast that morning. Not only had she been served a burned toast, but she also had to sit across the table from the tense couple.

The only one here who seemed to be enjoying the food was James, who was too young to notice the passive-aggressiveness the pair in front of her was showing.

*Sigh*

'This is ridiculous. I cannot believe these two behave worse than a kid when they are adults. If only I did not live with them, I would not have to worry about them.'

Anabella sighed before she decided that it was not worth it to stay home today and feel this awkwardness.

So, she told the family that she was heading out for the day.

"I will spend the night out today with my friends. Do not wait for me when you have dinner."
