章節 4: Chapter 4 One Piece World! Nominations.Bang!

The explosion sounded again, and Loya turned his head quickly. This time, the blast came from the direction of the beach. Even from such a distance, he could smell the acrid gunpowder smoke.

"Is someone finally here? Whoever it is, I'm leaving this place!" he thought fiercely, fed up with life on the isolated island. He then jumped up with all his might.

Click!

At the highest point of his leap, Loya began to fall, but immediately, a palm-sized piece of ice appeared beneath his feet. Lightly stepping on it, his descent halted, and he sprang off it again, creating more ice to step on, moving rapidly through the air toward the beach.

Vic felt deeply aggrieved and angry. He was just an ordinary pirate with a 35 million bounty. He had only recently arrived on the Grand Line and hadn't even encountered a merchant ship. So why was he being pursued by a Vice Admiral of Navy Headquarters? They had been chasing him for two days and nights! What did he do to deserve this?

If not for his specially made ship, the Flying Fish, which was as fast as a naval warship, he'd have been shackled and escorted to Impel Down long ago.

But his luck had run out. The warships behind seemed to be tiring of this game of cat and mouse. Since earlier, the cannons on the bows of the ships had been firing relentlessly, even destroying his sails.

Losing a sail was fatal for a wooden sailing ship like the Flying Fish. In desperation, Vic ordered his crew to steer toward the shore.

"What about the Vice Admiral? I'm Vic Scissorhands! I won't be captured!" he swore.

The island looked strange, a summer island with an odd ten-meter-high ice sculpture on the beach. But with no other options, Vic docked quickly and commanded his crew to fire back, trying to prevent the warship from getting too close.

Bang!

Another shell exploded, hitting the Flying Fish's side directly. The pirates loading ammunition below deck suffered heavy casualties, with blood and severed limbs scattered across the deck.

As pirates, their artillery skills couldn't match those of the well-trained navy. And to increase the Flying Fish's speed, it carried only a few cannons, leaving their scattered counterattacks ineffective against the approaching warships.

Meanwhile, on the warship, seeing the pirates' artillery weakened, the navy raised their muskets and broadswords, waiting for the command to charge.

An officer approached the man at the bow and saluted, "Vice Admiral Flying Squirrel, the Scissor Pirates have lost their artillery. Shall we charge?"

Wearing a lavender-striped suit and a dark blue shirt, Lieutenant General Mole, with his distinctive dark purple mohawk, looked at the pirates grimly and waved. "Cannon cover! Strike!"

"Yes, sir!"

Upon receiving the order, the warship halted and began to slow down. Several small boats were released, and the navy officers quickly approached the coast under artillery cover.

"The navy is here! Brothers, kill them!" Vic roared, raising his musket and firing.

Loya reached the beach outside the forest and took in the chaotic scene. He noticed the Flying Fish engulfed in thick black smoke and then the blue seagull flag with "MARINE" written on it in the distance.

"No way," he murmured, watching the scene in shock. "That's the navy logo from One Piece… does this mean I'm in the world of One Piece?"

Realizing where he was, Loya stared at the battle in amazement. He was still processing the fact that he'd arrived in the world of One Piece with the Fairy Tail system.

The beach scene now was straightforward—a navy suppression operation against pirates.

Loya's gaze shifted to Vic, who was leading the battle.

After examining him carefully, he deduced that Vic was just a minor pirate, barely noteworthy.

In One Piece, the navy isn't easy to mess with, but pirates are different. Although strong, pirates are generally disorganized.

Realizing the world he was in, Loya didn't want to confront the navy. Glancing at the pirate ship in ruins, he knew he needed the navy's ship to leave the island.

So, his eyes fell on the Scissor Pirates fighting the navy, and he smirked.

"Although we have no grievances, I need to borrow a naval warship. And for that, I'll need a bit of 'proof'... So, sorry, Scissor Pirates!"

Talking to himself, Loya jumped, the ground cracking beneath him from his immense strength. The dragon's body granted him enormous power, launching him into the sky.

Since he was behind the Scissor Pirates, Vic, who lacked Observation Haki, didn't notice Loya in the air. But Vice Admiral Mole did.

His eyes narrowed as he observed the figure that leapt up. "Who's that…?"

Loya stepped onto an ice platform he created mid-air. His lungs expanded, fists clenched in front of his mouth as he gathered magic power.

Hum!

A blue magic circle, as tall as a person, appeared before him, its center facing his open mouth.

"Ice Dragon's... ROAR!"

The next moment, an ice storm erupted, quickly expanding into a massive, dragon-like force that barreled into the Scissor Pirates' formation.

Boom!

Loya controlled the storm to explode at the optimal kill point. A thunderous roar echoed as Vic was engulfed in the blast.

Driven by the explosion's shockwave, countless ice shards mercilessly cut through the pirates, like blades. The intense cold froze their wounds before they could bleed, turning many into statues. At the center of the explosion, no intact bodies remained.

Dragon Slayer magic, even ice-based, was devastatingly violent. Without that, it would be no different from Gray's ice modeling magic.

After the storm, a chilling frost spread. Waves froze mid-splash, forming solid ice.

Even the navy on the distant warships felt the cold. The officers on the skiffs fared worse, their lips turning blue.

"The ability to freeze…" Mole muttered, caught off guard. He'd expected Loya to attack the Scissor Pirates but hadn't anticipated such a brutal massacre using ice powers.

There was no time to dwell on it. Seeing the ice spreading toward the vanguard, Mole grunted, unsheathing his katana and swiftly swinging it.

Swish!

A huge light-blue energy slash swept over the vanguard, tearing through the ice. The powerful sword slash even left a trench in the sea. From a distance, it looked as if the sea was carved out like jelly.

The navy was caught off guard and fell into the water, but they were skilled swimmers. Quickly, they resurfaced, though shivering in the icy water.

Seeing this, Mole sheathed his katana and ordered his adjutant, "Send someone to rescue the vanguard immediately!"

"Yes, sir!"

The adjutant gave Mole a grateful look before hurrying off to relay the order. Vice Admiral Mole was a general who cared for his men.

Loya noticed the sword slash and felt slightly annoyed. "Darn, I lost control of the power on my first big move and nearly froze the navy too… But to release sword energy like that… isn't he at least a swordsman?"

Recalling that powerful slash, Loya couldn't help feeling resentful toward Eiichiro Oda. The power system in One Piece was unpredictable. As stronger characters appeared, the power levels kept increasing, similar to a stat explosion in an MMO where a low-level monster is now tougher than an old endgame boss.

This kind of power creep made it difficult for Loya to gauge the navy's strength. But then again, this was typical of many Japanese manga, like Dragon Ball, Naruto, and Bleach, where the power levels grew more extreme over time.
