"Ice Dragon's... Iron Fist!"
An angry shout resounded through the woods, and a blue light flashed, followed by a dull thud and the crackling sound of ice forming.
Loya dropped from over ten meters in the air, landing softly after a few steps.
"Very good, this wild boar is enough to last me three days," Loya muttered, eyeing the massive wild boar, frozen solid and shattered into several large chunks.
This boar was no small beast; its exposed tusks alone were as thick as Loya's arms. Lying on the ground like a hill, even its hind leg, now separated, towered over Loya's height.
This creature's weight was measured not in kilograms but tons.
Even so, it would barely last him three days!
Since accepting his role as a Dragon Slayer, Loya had explored the island. For safety, his initial targets were small creatures, like rabbit-like critters covered in scales. Now, however, even the island's dominant giant wild boars had found their way onto his menu.
In the weeks that followed, Loya learned something unsettling: he'd eaten almost every edible creature on the island, leaving only poisonous animals untouched.
As a Dragon Slayer, his body required large amounts of food daily. In addition to this, to increase his power, he needed even more energy, which meant constantly hunting.
At first, he only needed to consume a few coconuts to reach the next level. But starting from the third level, coconuts alone no longer provided enough energy, forcing him to hunt the creatures on the island.
He discovered that the stronger the creature, the more energy he gained, allowing him to level up faster.
So, by leveling up and changing his diet, Loya had achieved a rare feat: he had eaten an entire island into poverty.

Loya dispersed the ice shards around him and used a thick ice spear to skewer large chunks of pork, hauling the giant wild boar skewer, over ten times his size, back to his camp.
The strength boost from his Dragon Slayer abilities had far surpassed what he'd initially realized. Back then, he hadn't fully grasped his new strength, and his brain's safety mechanism had limited him. But with practice, he'd learned to push through these limits, revealing his true power.
Back at his cave—a former bear den he'd taken over after defeating the original occupant—Loya set down the meat outside and retrieved a handful of dried leaves he'd prepared to start a fire.
He grabbed a lighter from his bag and checked the fuel. Only a thin layer of butane remained, maybe enough for a few more uses.
Loya arranged the leaves, dry branches, and the last bit of fuel, then lit the fire, thankful for his knowledge of survival skills from years of watching survival shows.
Taking a piece of the boar's hind leg, he cleaned it by a stream and skewered it with a large stick before placing it over the fire. Freezing the rest of the boar to preserve it, he looked up at the sky, waiting for his meal to cook.
Weeks of survival had transformed Loya from a carefree gamer into a solitary island hunter. At first, he had spent his days curled up on the beach, afraid to miss a passing ship. But as time went on, he learned to accept his situation, channeling his energy into hunting and survival.
He had left SOS signals in visible places around the island in hopes of rescue, though his anxiety faded into resignation. In time, he had set up his shelter, collected salt from the seawater's residue, and rationed it carefully despite its toxicity.
When his pork was cooked, he took a large bite, enjoying the meaty taste, then checked his energy panel.

A familiar buzzing sound filled the air as a blue magic circle appeared beneath him. Waves of blue energy quickly enveloped him, swirling around him like a cyclone until he was cocooned in a bright blue light. An overwhelming aura radiated out, causing the entire forest to fall silent.
Time seemed frozen. Not a leaf rustled, no water flowed, and the clouds in the sky were still. The only thing moving was the flickering light cocoon around him.
Then came a soft cracking sound, and a small fissure appeared on the cocoon's blue shell.
As the cracks spread, faint blue light glimmered within.
Finally, the cocoon burst with an explosion, and icy energy shot out, freezing the surrounding forest. As the vapor cleared, Loya's transformed figure was revealed.
He was ten centimeters taller, his frame sturdier. Light blue dragon scales covered his skin, and his pupils had shifted to cold, golden slits. A powerful, predatory aura surrounded him.
But this transformation didn't last. The dragon scales and claws receded, leaving him looking as he had before. Opening his eyes, he glanced at the diamond pattern on his hand, filled with excitement.
"Finally, it's time to unlock the next level!"
