Author Q&A Session on Lesly's condition:

Q: Would Lesly have stayed inside her illusion this long if Jude hadn't freed her?

A: She would have for as long as she was locked up in the cellar, worst case, until she died of thirst.

Not if it had been someone other than Jude rescuing her.

Lesly feels safe with Jude, so her brain decided to give her more rest, holding up the illusion for a bit longer.

Now, Lesly had been taken away from the bad place, was well cared for, had eaten a good meal, was not alone when going to bed, had plenty of sleep, and did not wake up alone, so she can soon 'recover' on her own.

Q: If there was sudden danger, would she wake up?

A: Yes, but being ripped out of the illusion all of a sudden would take a toll on her after the danger passed.

She's a tough cookie, a pro at protecting herself in her own way.

Q: But she endangered herself by undressing in the cellar?

A: Yes.

1) Being locked up in a cellar would be perceived by her as dangerous because there would be no water, no food, and danger for her psychological wellbeing. Not coldness.

2) Her unconsciousness is naturally not that easily deciphered; although mostly developed to protect her, it is still a heavy psychological illness that could harm and kill her anytime. F.E. giving her superpowers like flying.

Q: Isn't it a tiny bit (XD) improper for her to burden Jude with her condition, leaving him 'alone'?

A: Lesly hadn't decided consciously, but primitively.

Not, 'Is it okay to leave Jude alone to take care of everything, including me, while I am on 'vacation'?'

But, 'Safe.'

Q: If she can remember where she came from again, why is her name still censored?

A: She is now not in her real body; if her companion knew her original name, the illusion would be endangered.

Q: Can she see?

A: Yes and no. If someone threw a knife at her, she would dodge (if she were able to even react that fast), but if there was something harmless in the way, she would stumble over it.

She can see and is seeing, but the information is filtered by important and unimportant. Currently, everything is unimportant while in safety, and she is led back to her world slowly.

However, a real-life psychological illness is in no way that easily grasped, way more complex; the brain mostly being a mystery still to this day; it wouldn't work so fluently as it does on Lesly with her illusions having cause and effect, but mostly at random instead, with partly insignificant or no triggers at all, as well as unfathomable hallucinations that wouldn't make as much sense as it does here.
